Book Review:
I have been a huge fan Mrs. Banks breathless trilogy since I came across her first book of this series rush (Gabe and Mia's story). So needless to say I was eagerly Amazon stalking for the release of this book fever (book 2) which is jace and Bethany's story. Yet again Mrs. Banks doesn't disappoint with this one. As I stated before this series is on my what to read after fifty shades list and holding strong.
If you guys thought gabes story was hot and intense you’re in for a treat. Jace crestwell is pure utter yummy alpha personality and his sexual preferences make him even more hotter. When I first started reading this book it put me in the mind of the princess and the frog but with sex lol. I'm sure your think WTH? Well first I'm from Louisiana, so of course my favorite Cinderella story is princess and the frog, lol. Second jace and Bethany's story is a Cinderella one with a hot/sexy/dominate Prince Charming.
Jace is at a point in his life where he needs more. He has devoted his life to caring for his sister and now she is in the best hands he could leave her in ,Gabe his BFF. Well at mia/gabe's engagement party he sees the most beautiful woman he's ever laid eyes on, Bethany. Let the propositioning begin!!! It's no secret that jace's preferences are threesomes with his BFF ash, so why should this time be any different? Well one hot, sexy night of the woman of his dreams between him and his BFF leaves him wanting more. Oh ya the PLAYER has fallen and fallen hard.
Well wanting more would be easy if he knew where to find Bethany? One thing is for sure money is power and it can buy you information. On his search he discovers Bethany is homeless and the drama now begins.
Bethany has had a hard life to say the least. She has taken care of herself and her BFF jack for as long as she can remember. There were so many times I wanted to yell at her to wake up! Her loyalty to jack has placed her in danger to many times to count many to the point of almost killing her. She is so broken. She has never experienced LOVE and FAMILY. The more this story played out the more her story broke my heart.
Bethany/jace's relationship throughout this book seemed to be obstacle after obstacle. Unfortunately jack seemed to be the center of majority of those obstacles. It was great to see how over time their love/affection for each other blossomed. Yes the road was a seriously rocky one but they fought through continuously. Once they learned to TRUST what they had, the rest was BEAUTIFUL. The saying what doesn't kill you makes you stronger popped in my mind on so many occasions while reading this book.
I liked this book. However I will say that my favorite is still book one, rush! I can't wait to read book 3 ash's story!
