Review:
This was a different read for me. It stared off kinda slow but then began sucking me in and I didn't ant to put it down! Evie is a fun shy girl that doesn't have many friends aside from Moriah. They are supposed to have an "epic weekend" at this old house with gargoyle statues all over. The statues start disappearing and Evie thinks she is imaging stuff. Evie has an instant connection to the Gargoyle Adrianne even though she tries to convince herself it wasn't real. Adrianne is the leader and they are there to protect the humans from other Gargoyles.
The book focuses more on the characters and there relationships than the plot, which I'm sure many will love. You don't really know what is going on until about halfway through, which makes the build up more intense. No one really knows who chose the spot for this weekend and the twist you won't see coming!
You do get left with a pretty big cliffhanger, but I am excited to see where book 2 will go. If you like intriguing and gothic New Adult Paranormal then you will definitely enjoy this book!
