What He Really Feels is book 2 in the He Feels Trilogy by
Lisa Susanne. It takes place right where book 1 ends, with a broken hearted
Travis. He meets “Gorgeous” at a bar and they decide to hook up with no strings
attached; no names or numbers. Travis thought it was the best plan; he wanted
to get Julianne out of his head. Well it worked, now he had another face taking
over every thought in his head. After leaving Arizona and starting new in San
Deigo, he thinks he will never see her again. After a few failed dates and a
confession to Dan, he is determined to find the mystery woman who has stolen
his shattered heart.
At a party for a client, and a double take, he realizes she
is right there in his grasp. Once they are alone, she confesses she couldn’t
get “tiger” out of her head. Travis will stop at nothing to prove they are
meant to be and she is his everything!
BUT…. She is dating
his friend! She is not happy and Travis is determined to have her… With a mix
of lust, love, friendship, drama, jealousy, and yes, SEX, all make for a very
fun and intoxicating read! Lisa is a master of mixing just enough of each to
keep you wanting more and putting your life on hold to learn more about theirs.
And of course, the past ALWAYS comes back to haunt us!

Five Fun Facts about WHRF:
1.
1. I originally intended How He Really Feels to be a standalone novel. Then the reviews started rolling in, and everyone asked the same question: What about Travis? So, book 2 was born. The more I thought about it, the more I realized that Julianne and Nick’s story wasn’t quite over yet, either. So book 3 is on the way… sometime soonish.
2. I like writing from a male perspective more than from a female perspective.
4. I wrote myself into a scene in the book. There’s a scene where Travis sees a couple get engaged… Travis is actually watching my husband propose to me.
5. I know virtually nothing about architecture, and I don’t know any architects. So I spent a lot of time on Google whenever I had to write an office scene!
Excerpt:
We were standing at the kitchen sink doing the dishes after dinner while my parents relaxed out on the patio. It was our deal; they provided us a meal, and we picked up after it. It was only fair.
My sister scrubbed while I either placed the dishes in the dishwasher or hand dried them.
I shook my head. “No, thanks.”
“You sure?” she asked.
“I’ve got plans tonight. But send my best to Jamie and Brandon. Text me pictures. I’m just not ready to deal with the Beckers at the moment.”
She nodded. “You’re okay, though?”
“Yeah. I had a good night last night.”
She glanced up at me. “New girl?”
“Don’t be nosy. It’s not becoming.”
“Fuck you.”
“Ew. Not with my sister.”
“Tell me what happened.”
“No.”
She splashed some dishwater at me.
“I hate you,” I said.
“I hate you more.”
This was more like it, the normal banter between my sister and me.
“I met a girl last night. We had some fun. There’s not much else to tell.”
“Trav, this is huge.”
“This is why I didn’t want to tell you. It’s not huge. It’s not some big deal. It was a one-night thing.”
“Are you sure?”
“Yes. Why?”
“Because you seem more content today. I haven’t seen you like this since…” She paused, thinking. She handed me another dish. “God, maybe since high school when you and Jules were actually dating.”
Funny that I seemed more content to both my sister and to Bill when the pain on the inside of letting go of the woman from the night before stabbed at me in a consistent dull ache.
“I didn’t even get her name.”
“God, you are the mother of all douche bags.”
“It wasn’t like that.”
“You had sex with a girl whose name you didn’t know? Sounds like it was ‘like that’ to me.”
“A, I don’t want to be discussing my sex life with my sister. And B, you weren’t there.”
“Thank God for that.”
