Damien first laid eyes on Nikki at a Texas pageant years ago and has never forgotten her. His first words have haunted her for years.."kindred spirits". Since then Nikki has tried to reclaim her life and leave her demons in Texas to start a new life in LA. Well at an art Galla party fate would once again put her in the path of Damien stark. Let me just say who would have ever thought a foot rub and a kiss would be so freaking SEXY. My goodness this man!!!
The game of cat and mouse between Damien/Nikki was interesting to say the least. The chemistry was off the charts but as usual life in general had a way of bringing the craziest passion to a halt. Nikki's demons ran deep. She was a cutter and once her past was revealed my heart seriously broke for her. Damien's life was a roller coaster ride. Everyone was out for a piece of him including trying to pin a murder on him. Ya I'm serious!
Damien and Nikki's relationship was a Rough one. They both are broken. At many points in this book I honestly asked myself would their chemistry/passion be enough? Their BOND grew stronger with every turning page and it gave me hope as a reader for their relationship. This was a good start to this series. However I was left with some serious questions at the end of this one. Like what demons are haunting Damien? Ok on to book 2!
Good job mrs. Kenner.
