In this sequel to the bestselling fantasy thriller, Angelfall, the survivors of the angel apocalypse begin to scrape back together what's left of the modern world.
When a group of people capture Penryn's sister Paige, thinking she's a monster, the situation ends in a massacre. Paige disappears. Humans are terrified. Mom is heartbroken.
Penryn drives through the streets of San Francisco looking for Paige. Why are the streets so empty? Where is everybody? Her search leads her into the heart of the angels' secret plans where she catches a glimpse of their motivations, and learns the horrifying extent to which the angels are willing to go.
Meanwhile, Raffe hunts for his wings. Without them, he can't rejoin the angels, can't take his rightful place as one of their leaders. When faced with recapturing his wings or helping Penryn survive, which will he choose?

Omg. If I thought angelfall was good mrs. Ee has completely out done herself with this one.
**if you haven't read book one please stop reading this review now**
This book picks up were book one leaves off. Raffe is carrying penyrn's 'dead body' to the safety of her mothers arms after the battle. Heart broken, raffe leaves and plans his revenge on beliel. One to get his wings back and two for penyrn's death. But is penyrn's really dead...umm nope. She was injected with a paralyzing agent from the scorpion. Once the agent wore off she was a force to be reckoned with. Equipped with raffe sword she fights for her life and her family. The sword was a source of comfort for her in a sense it guided her on her path and back to the safe arms of raffe.
This book was full of twists and turns. I honestly wasn't expecting a lot that did occur in this one. All the secondary characters I absolutely loved. Paige my heart honestly broke for her. She had been turned into a medical/Frankenstein experiment and at one point in time her only source of comfort was beliel. But trust me this little girl is stronger than anyone gave her credit for. Paige's journey to take back her life and join the fight was an amazing part to read in this one.
Mrs. Ee gave her readers action, love, moments of healing, but most of all she gave HOPE! I love this series and can't wait for book three!
Great job mrs. ee.
