Spencer finds himself haunted by the man he has let his father turn him into, But through all the ugliness his soft spot still remains his sister. His love for his little sister was heart wrenching and the sacrifices he was willing to make to protect her at moments left me speechless. Teenage pregnancy is difficult especially when you have a monster of a father threatening to have you taken out if you dot get rid of "IT".
Spence and his little sis go into hiding on a farm in Montana curiosity of his BFF/college roommate. The transition of these rich siblings to a life of hard work down on the farm was an enjoyable read. But ofcourse for every hardened/unattainable man there has to be one woman that can soften that heart. For spencer that was cricket. Cricket was a young woman full of dreams that always put her wants to the side for others. Or so we thought.,.. There are always secrets and cricket had plenty and oh ya a boy friend also.
The chemistry between spence and cricket was a great read. I loved both of their characters. Throughout this book all characters involved really grew and conquered their fears in a sense. This story was one of great FAMILY and the lessons/sacrifices one is willing to make for their own....who knows self discovery and love may even come along,lol! Great job mrs. Amelie! I can't wait for book 3.
