Daemon will do anything to get Katy back.

After the successful but disastrous raid on Mount Weather, he’s facing the impossible. Katy is gone. Taken. Everything becomes about finding her. Taking out anyone who stands in his way? Done. Burning down the whole world to save her? Gladly. Exposing his alien race to the world? With pleasure.

All Katy can do is survive.

Surrounded by enemies, the only way she can come out of this is to adapt. After all, there are sides of Daedalus that don’t seem entirely crazy, but the group’s goals are frightening and the truths they speak even more disturbing. Who are the real bad guys? Daedalus? Mankind? Or the Luxen?

Together, they can face anything.

But the most dangerous foe has been there all along, and when the truths are exposed and the lies come crumbling down, which side will Daemon and Katy be standing on?

And will they even be together?

As I was preparing for my birthday weekend in Vegas, I also planned my reading for the long plane ride from florida to Vegas. My calendar book  alert let me know the continuation of one of my favorite paranormal series was coming out. Yes ladies  Daemon Black is back and holy hell this hottie is on a mission. Let me just take a moment to say thanks mrs. Armentrout for giving me an awesome pre Vegas/bday read. I devoured this book on my flight. My apologies to the nice passenger next to me for the constant shits and other explicit language from my mouth as I read this one.

** if you haven't read books 1-3 please stop reading and go to your nearest book site to get started! **

“I’ll burn the world down to save her.” - Dameon

This one quote pretty much sums up this entire story. This book picks up where book three ended. Katy is being held captive by Daedalus and daemon is being held captive/neutralized by his family/friends. Ummm well let me rephrase, there is an attempt made to neutralize daemon but ofcourse it doesn't work.

This story  was so action packed at times it made my head spin. Through it all some characters were lost (heart breaking), others were gained, unexpected new alliances were formed, new species were Discovered and the beginnings/creation of new life Was made. This book had it all ummmm even wedding bells.. Nope not giving it away lol!!  Daemon does the unthinkable to save Katy, he walks right in to Daedalus and turns himself in. Yes if your thinking WTH don't worry so was I. However never fear Dameon has a plan with the assistance of luc.

Ok this is where  this story got really interesting. What do you get when you from a hybrid +luxen love affair? A bada** baby classified as an origin. Seriously think super powered beyond anything you've read in this series. Remember LUC, and his strangeness...ummm well so much was explained and finally made sense.

I already loved Katy/daemon characters but now I'm hopelessly in love with them. What Katy had to endure while be held captive was enough to break anyone. The strength she showed was amazing and the can of whoop a** she dished out had me doing fist pumps/ screaming you go girl. Daemons love for Katy knew no end. He was seriously her knight and shining armor...oh dont forget to throw arrogant in there also lol. Everything they endured made them stronger, when they exchanged I love you's as a reader you knew it was all or nothing for these two. Oh to fall in love lol.

This book was awesome. Every emotion you can think of I basically had through out this one. As I've stated before this book was one of new beginnings and friendships in the unlikeliest places. Let me just say, yes the cliffhanger in this one is....well there are honestly no words. I was literally screaming noooooo I need more. However I'm sooooo excited there will be a continuation to this series!

Great job mrs. Armentrout! I have honestly loved every minute of this series.

Book rating: 5 stars/A+

Cheers,
Dr. Books
