Crazy Beautiful Love was not my first read by J.S. Cooper, but definitely my favorite, and at the top of my list for the year thus far!!!
Who doesn't love a bad boy? I kinda got mixed feelings on how I thought things would play out, but of course they never played out how I thought lol... Surprisingly this is a story that I could totally see happening lol. More so in a mob movie, but I love when I can picture myself in a book and get out of my own life for a bit. This could easily be a movie that I can see MANY types of people enjoying!
Ok, so we start off with Maddie attempting her hand at thievery, all for a certain someone's attention. She has had a HUGE crush on Logan since she was young. She comes in to his life like a tornado and they get down and dirty pretty quick. Logan of course is used to this being who he is! He is the ultimate bad boy! But of course every story needs drama, and drama we get!!! Maddie is the one girl he would have stayed away from had he known who she was. Once he finds out, his brother wants him to use her to get back at someone they have a long hatred for someone who put their family in the situation they are in.
Maddie is one tough girl! She goes for what she wants and doesn't care what it takes to get it! I LOVED her!!! She wasn't a virgin, but somewhat a good girl but Logan is one who gives her a taste of her bad girl side... And she likes the thrill!
Logan's mom died and his father is worthless so he is the one to take care of the family. He tries to get his brothers through college so that they can escape the life he was forced to live. Maddie makes him want better for himself and for her. There is a lot of push and pull between them but it all understandable.
There is a BIG deal that Logan and his brothers become involved in and the way things play out I didn't see coming! It is literally heart stopping. You don't know who if any will make it out, and you won't find out until you read.....
I began this book at 11pm thinking I could get a couple chapters in before bed and next thing I knew it was 3am!! It took me 2 days to get this review up because I could not form into words how I felt and writing a review sort of finalizes it for me. On a happy note, this is a standalone and the other two books in the series will be out within this year! Each book is about one of the brothers and has a beginning and end. Totally recommend this book no matter what genre you prefer because it is THAT good!
