Sadie Adams spent years hiding a secret in her journal. A beautiful secret wrapped in a dear stranger who came to her in the night. A stranger who came to her filled with love, passion, and devotion. And her only release from her secret days and her lonely nights came from her journal; a journal that kept her company as life slowly passed her by while she anxiously waited for his return.
"How do you live, when you've spend your life waiting alone?"
Waiting, the darkness and pain grew until within the grip of loneliness and death, she finally found a light to hold onto.
Brighter and kinder than anyone she had ever known, Sadie finally chose to live in a world of light...
Even as a Darkness was born.
Sarah Ann Walker was raised in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, where she attended McMaster University, as an English major. After beginning her career in 2002- a career as an office administrator, polar-opposite to her studies, Sarah met and married her American husband, and they chose to remain in Canada together.
In the summer of 2012, during a manic 2-week period, Sarah was transformed into the main character of 'I am HER...'. The novel was horrific, engrossing, graphic, painful and beautiful at once, and Sarah found herself consumed with the struggle, madness and passion of the main character's amazing story.
Sarah's first book, 'I am HER...' and second book 'THIS is me...' have received positive reviews both locally and online from her readers.
Sarah can be found on Facebook, Twitter, and goodreads.com where her readers can leave reviews and feedback. Sarah looks forward to hearing from her readers.

In my opinion This is Sadie's story/fight to remember. To Remember her life before the now and fight to stop just coexisting. This book starts out with Sadie married to Alex and they share a son Jamie. Let me say I loved Alex's character. He was a nurturing man, there were however moments in this one I questioned some of his decisions but hey rule number one protect the one you love, even if it has to be done form the shadows. Sadie is really estranged from society in my opinion, I mean she's cordial when she needs to be. She can function to hold a job and even be a good mom but she has her bad days. The days were the repressed memories are threatening to surface and nearly drive her to the brink of insanity.
Sadie's story is basically told through a series of hidden journals she has kept to document her life. She tells of her first love, her first lover, issues with family, broken friendships and learning how to love/be loved. The key to remember about this is her lover for most of her life was a ghost in the night sort of speak. With that being said you can only imagine how many people probably classified her as a nut job. I can honestly say I was trying to diagnosis her a quarter of the way in, lol. There were so many things and behavior patterns that didn't sit well with me so ofcousre the doctor in me wanted to come out, lol.
Ok moving on.... Half way through this one questions are beginning to be answered. For me a huge one was how in the heck could a young woman that was clearly not stable not be diagnosed or an intervention not occur on behalf of her family? Ya well I surely got my answers in the end and I shed a few tears for Sadie. I am a firm believer that someone knows. Parents know their children and husbands know their wives. Love is a powerful thing. In this situation it can even turn someone or numerous people into a killer.
I really want to go into so much more detail with this one but I'm afraid I'll give away to much. Just know mrs. Walker once again took a tough topic in today's society and gave the literary world a great story. Good job mrs. Walker.
Cheers,
