Blurb:
A man with a troubled past who has found his way,' Damon Lee Petrie enjoys the art of storytelling, reading, and the pursuit of a healthy lifestyle that includes weightlifting, running, yoga, and meditation. His interests include Ancient History, Comparative Religions, and Philosophy.
With an unshakable belief in right and wrong, a Higher Universal Power, and that our actions have consequences, Damon is grateful for family, friends, and a society that largely accepts the tenets of forgiveness and second chances.
In addition to authoring fast paced and thought provoking action adventures in the tradition of Indiana Jones and The Davinci Code, Damon is dedicated to penning emotion stirring dramas that both entertain and educate readers to the stumbling blocks and pitfalls that too often snare our nations youth. His authority for narrating these latter types of stories with such genuine and moving authenticity comes from his own experiences and observations within runaway youth communities, the unhallowed halls of reform school, and beyond.
Initially drafted in the longhand, Damon's current offerings include the action adventure, Water and Blood, as well as the stirring dramas, In the Course of a Summer and Demons Within. He is also author of the suitable for all ages short, A Childhood Lost.
Damon is currently working on additional titles, including Wishers Island, a story that, despite its Disneyesque fantasy underpinnings, is about the serious reality of Childhood Leukemia which kills more children between the age of one and fifteen than any other disease.
In the spirit of giving back and making amends a percentage of the revenues from the novels In the Course of a Summer and Demons Within will be gifted to a community organization that mentors at risk youth in an effort to halt the too steady flow to the prison gate.
