A Love Like This

Book Three: The Remembrance Trilogy

By: Kahlen Aymes

Blurb

Married and settled in New York City, Ryan and Julia Matthews seek to start their family and enjoy their idyllic newlywed life together. Julia’s high-profile job at Vogue and Ryan’s promising career in medicine will surely set them up for everything they could ever want, their only obstacle seems to be finding enough time to spend together.

When a scuffle at Ryan’s hospital puts his life in danger, a colleague steps in to save him but is critically injured in the process. In a heroic and unwavering effort, Ryan manages to save her, but her injuries irrevocably change her life forever.

Though Julia’s gratitude urges her to befriend the woman, she feels pushed aside when Ryan, feeling indebted and laden with guilt, befriends the woman during her recovery. Julia puts on a good front, but as time goes on her resolve vanishes as the friendship begins to infiltrate what little time the couple has together and she is reminded of how her own relationship with Ryan began.

In Ryan’s mind he is doing nothing more than supporting a friend’s healing and is angry at Julia’s apparent lack of trust, despite his attempts to console her. When events get too much for her, a heartbroken Julia flees without telling her husband her destination or even if she will return.

When grief pushes him beyond what’s humanly possible and he is on the verge of losing his mind, he is forced to decide how much he will pay for his new friendship and Julia, what she iswilling to endure in order to spare herself the unspeakable pain of watching someone else try to replace her in Ryan’s heart.

Join Ryan and Julia in the heart-wrenching conclusion to the unforgettable story of an incredible love; worth every single sacrifice…

For there is nothing more sacred than… A Love Like This…

Review:

I am going to try and keep this review spoiler free. BUT I will state that Kahlyn Aymes is among my favorite authors!!! A Love Like This is book 3 in the remembrance trilogy. I was skeptical when I first began reading these books on how a story about two people could be stretched out for 3 books and still keep your attention. The answer is to have Kahlen write it! If you have read the first to books you know that Julia and Ryan have been to hell and back! They deserve a HEA! I think the best relationships are those that started from a friendship like Ryan and Julia.

Very few people could handle what they have been through and still come out on top! It's so realistic and beautifully written that you will find yourself being consumed by these characters and not wanting thier story to end! Book 1 was distance, book 2 was memory, and book 3 is figuring out what matters most! I really was not expecting to love this book as much as the first two, but I honestly love it more!

Ryan and Julia are now married and both living in New York and working. They hardly have time together and a tragic accident worms MORE drama into their lives. The time they are together is sex, sex, and sex; and although we all love a HUGE dose of that, they lose touch with what matters. It's not always cupcakes and rainbows, and neither is life. Julia makes a devistating decision that once again puts distance between them. Can Ryan and Julia regain the loving madness that they have for each other? Your emotions will hit rock bottom while you are reading and you will want to hit someone, cry, and jump with glee! The epilogue was the PERFECT ending to the PERFECT trilogy! And unless you are an emotionless ogre you will LOVE this book!

Rating: 5 stars

Cheers,

Erika
