Holy Shiznit!!!!! That about sums up my feelings right now!! I just finished reading Rewound and I am on my flight to the Louisville Author Event crying. And the only words I can think are Holy and Shiznit!!
To say this was an interesting and different read is an understatement. This has to be one of the most EPIC love stories hands down!!! I am still in shock!!! I thought about half way through that the story pretty much ended and then things take a turn. The ending though.... That was the cake topper!
THIS IS A STANDALONE!!!
We start my meeting Dez who is traveling back in time to redo her life. She found evidence that her husband of over a century heated on her and it broke her. She goes back to before they met to try and find true love. Dez defiantly has some trust issues, but she is crazy if she thinks Jax is going to just let her walk away. He follows her there to keep his wife!! And he is hell bent on making sure she knows that!
He follows her to spring break in Florida and reminds her how much she cannot resist him even if she tries.
SO much happens and I can't really talk details without giving away part of the story.... But I want to so bad and it's killing me!! But Dez gets a call after she gets back to Pittsburg that rattles her and sends her back to Florida in search of her best friend. And Jax being the knight and shiny armor his is takes her. Little by little Dez starts giving in, but something that happened keeps holding her back. There is a lot of back and forth and mis-understandings and even a time cop! And of course just when you think it's all ok you find out you didn't know anything at all! This is a Romeo and Juliet type of epic love, The Notebook epic love, and the every book boyfriend that you secretly dream about epic love.
The writing was brilliant and I loved all of the little twists and turns. I also love how sure Jax is about Dez and doesn't let anything get in his way. She is it for him and he wants the world to know. To have a love like that after being together so long is amazing.
To all the hopeless romantics, this is a MUST read! You get you steam for all of our little freaky ones out there, along with romance, suspense, mystery, and many fun loving characters!
