Jacqueline Winlock is based in the SF Bay Area. After sneaking her older sisters' hidden romance novels, her addiction to Happily Ever After's and hunky heroes only intensified when she discovered erotica and romantica. She can be reached at jacqueline.winlock@gmail.com where she'll be happy to respond to any feedback in between writing her next smutty little stories. This is her first novel. |
This one throws you for a loop when you first begin reading. You think that you are in a novel with lords and ladies, chambers, corsets, etc. and then oopss no, your character is reading erotica online, fantasy erotica none the less.
Jake Chochran, international romance writer and hunk extraordinaire is seeking a cook, live in cook exactly. His last “applicants” thought they could woo him with other skills and talents, not their cooking. In comes Lynn, innocent, shelteredtwenty something down on her luck that can’t find a job and lives with her grandma due to her parents passing away when she was a child. Now grandma is a horse of a different color (so to speak) she doesn’t believe in dating every single man in town, study dates, etc Always judging.
So Lynn decides to go on Craig’s list to find a job and runs into the ad for a live in cook She answers it, interviews and of course gets the job. Now mind you she has no “formal” training or experience, but she has grandma’s recipes and the web.
Things go well, it’s a 30 day trial and well you can imagine what happens in those 30 days. In steps Hollywood’s sweetheart who thinks she owns Jake Lynn resigns the night of the dinner party unbeknownst to Jake. Ad after ad he places on Craig’s list, speaking in terminology of her erotica stories, seeking her out.
She finally sees the ads as she peruses the ads to see what her competition is up to, learns that he has come to find her, only to be sent away by her Grandma.
Cheers to Jacqueline for making us laugh and gasp.
Cheers,
Steph
