Fighting Destiny by Amelia Hutchins Book Review

Wednesday, April 2, 2014

Have you ever heard of the old Celtic legends of the Fae - beautiful, magical, and deadly creatures that have a love of messing with humans just for kicks and giggles?

Welcome to my world.

What started out as a strange assignment, lead to one of the most gruesome murder mysteries of our times. My friends and I are set and determined to find out who is killing off Fae and Witches alike.

Couple of problems in the way – I hate the Fae and the Prince of the Dark Fae is bound and determined that I work for him. He’s a rude, overbearing egotistical ass with a compulsive need to possess, dominate and control me. Oh – did I mention that he is absolutely sex-on-a-stick gorgeous and he makes me feel things that I never ever wanted to feel for a Fae...every time he touches me or looks at me with those dangerous golden eyes he seems to pull me further in under his spell, despite my better judgment.

My friends and I can’t trust anyone and nothing is as it seems on the surface – not even me.

Amelia lives in the great Pacific Northwest with her family. When not writing, she can be found on her page Erotica Book Club hanging out with her favorite book junkies. She's an avid reader of everything paranormal romance.
The Fae Chronicles is Amelia's debut series, and there are at least five books planned for Synthia and Ryder.

So I decided to take a break from studying for boards and just relax/read. Well reading one book turn into finishing a whole freaking  series. I couldn't just let the book end and not no what happened. I mean reAlly, mrs. Hutchins gives me a hot bada** dark prince and a smart sassy mouth enforcer. This love hate relationship was so fifty shades of paranormal I couldn't contain myself from one clicking the whole series that was available to me.
Ok so here's Book1's review.......  It Introduces us to ryder and synthia. He is here on a mission to save his world and she is in the business of protecting hers from his kind.  Well would it be weird if the two joined forces? To most people absolutely, but for this reader.....yes pleaseeeee. Let me explain, think job interview that has the potential to lead to a hot intimate setting . Oh ya that's the type of chemistry happening between ryder and syn.
Can a guild member have the hots for the dark fae prince? Yes LAWD and completely scandalous! Their working environment was an interesting read. They were so much alike and so different in so many ways. One thing they agreed on was the concept of saving their worlds and their races. Oh but where would all the fun be without any secrets. As syn and ryder fight to save their worlds, secrets are revealed about themselves and the ones they love. Trust me,I had some serious wth moments.
Great job mrs. Hutchins. You gave me a new paranormal favorite to rave about!

Stay tuned for book 2's review!

Cheers,
Dr. Books
