AMAZON DESCRIPTION

Bailey Gray is tired of her perfectly planned life. Everything about her life has been organized and lived out to the expectations set of her parents. She is the class valedictorian, has perfect grades, the perfect friends, a perfect boyfriend, basically perfect life...or so everyone thought. That's when she realizes the path planned isn't always the path chosen.
On graduation day she makes a decision. One that changes everything she thought she knew about her intended future.
On a whim, she runs away with the town rebel, Dylan Wade, in search of the unknown.

Dylan Wade isn't looking to run away from anything.
He knows what he wants as he's been waiting on it for years.
On a journey to find the unknown, they discover a friendship they once knew along the open highway and have not a care in the world. Between the yellow and white lines of the heated summer asphalt, a spark draws them together as Dylan's past and Bailey future try to ripe them apart.
Could it be that Dylan and his GTO are exactly what her perfectly planned life needs?

Book Review

“A Story about a girl and boy who were so lost they couldn’t see what was right in front of them. It was our deal.”-- Bailey

I've never started a book review with a quote but this one just summed up everything so well. This was my first Shey Stahl book, and I loved every road tripping/sun setting moment of it. This book had a little of everything lies, deceit, forgiveness, friendship, and LOVE!

This is Bailey and Dylan's story. Think little Mrs. Perfect meets tattooed bad boy/musician/neighbor.....now throw in an awesome road trip and hot steamy chemistry....yup sigh! Bailey has always had to be perfect, well at 18 on graduation day (during her speech) little Mrs. Perfect tells her perfect world to FU** off (ummm this was a mouth hanging open moment for me). While in the mist of still having a freak out moment from her melt down, she runs right into the arms/GTO of the boy next door/ex BFF/local bad boy, Dylan.

Now Dylan is the FU ** off, I don't care what people think, tattooed, musician (yes his musical talents in this book, wow) and BADBOY. However, he wasn't always this way. Everyone one grieves differently, his way of grief was to withdraw from the people that cared about him most and act out. (My heart broke for him). This caused his relationship with bailey to suffer and they grew apart. His luck changed when the girl next door walked back in his life and GTO again. Was this his second chance?

Let the road trip begin! As this story plays out we see Bailey/Dylan taking chances, living life to the fullest, and LOVING HARD! This is both new territory for them, but the memories/moments they make together are BEAUTIFULLY THEIRS. The chemistry between these two was great (lots of fanning myself moments, sigh) but something was off (yes lies/deceit/secrets).

Their road tripping LOVE story was a beautiful one of self growth and FORGIVENESS.  The ending of the book (SMH) rocked me to the CORE. I knew the Dylan something off/hiding something situation was big but GEEZ (heartbreaking...nope not giving it away, LOL).  The million dollar question was will Dylan/ Bailey's LOVE SURVIVE?

I loved this book! Needless to say, I devoured it in one sitting.  Bailey/Dylan's characters I loved. However, there were moments were her being naïve, and him being stubborn were so frustrating. The secondary characters in this book I pretty much had a hate relationship toward. Both sets of parents were real pieces of work....... Trust me read this book and you will see my point. I remember shaking my head at moments thinking how are these people even allowed to have children, geez!

In this story bailey/Dylan loved hard, fought hard, and forgave hard.....BUT in the end is there LOVE strong enough (sigh..Beautiful)?

“It was our story, played out on the open highway chasing sunsets. It wasn’t an easy story to tell you. It was a story of kisses, lust, passion, youth, mistakes, lies, hiding, stupidity, judging, but most of all, love.”-- Bailey

“Some say a sunset can be too beautiful for words. I’d agree with that. There are a lot of things too beautiful for words for me.To me, it was the earth’s way of saving the best for last.” --Bailey

I’ll just say job well done Mrs. Stahl! The flow of this book was great. It grips the reader right from the beginning and rocks your world in the end!  I look forward to reading more of your work.

Book rating: A/4.5 stars

Cheers,
