Summer Fling Review!

Description:
Summer Fling is a romance anthology with five sizzling short stories from five great authors!

Included in the anthology are:

The Promise of Tomorrow by J. S. Cooper (New Adult Contemporary Romance)
Lucy and Nick were two kids from opposite sides of the tracks. They became best friends and lovers and promised that nothing would ever break them up. But sometimes promises don't always last, or do they?

Love Across the Atlantic by Jessica Wood (New Adult Contemporary Romance)
Just a few days before Alex left for London to study abroad for the summer, she meets and falls for Nathan--the overly-confident, yet endearing guy that every other girl seems to want. Will the long distance ruin Alex's chances of a relationship with Nathan, or will Alex and Nathan develop a blossoming love across the Atlantic.

Confessions of an Online Dater by Chloe Harrison (Chick Lit)
As part of a bet, Anna spends her summer going on countless dates to prove that there are no dateable guys online. After 39 disastrous dates with guys who have cat obsessions, performance issues, and facial hair issues, she starts to call these guys, The Undateables, and believes that she will win the bet. Then she meets Jack, who seems at first to be another Undateable. But will Anna's date with Jack be another disaster, or will Jack be the one to cause Anna to lose the bet?

Summer Loving by Helen Cooper (Erotic Romance)
Jess is devastated when her boyfriend Zak dumps her right before her summer vacation with her best friends. She decides that the best way to get even is to have a one-night stand, only she may have picked the one man, that could make her life even more uncomfortable.

We Meet Again by Suzi Case (Chick Lit)

Gemma goes from odd job to odd job hoping to make ends meet. She struggles to keep her cool as the same obnoxious and handsome man keeps showing up as she fails each job disastrously.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Review:
1) The Promise Of Forever: Written by J.S. Cooper
I love these short stories because you get it all and fast! There's no fluff to fill the pages. This one is about how tomorrow can always change with what we do today. You may not realize what one action can do to your whole life. Lucy learned the hard way and then bombs back into her past at one of her lowest points. There is always the road not taken and the what ifs. A sweet ending for a short story, Greta way to start this book!
2) Love Across The Atlantic: Written by Jessica Wood
I recently reviewed Jessica Wood's debut novel and it was amazing! Some people call it beginners luck and are shocked by her success on her first novel; I call it pure talent! It was short and sweet and I want more! I am so excited to follow this new author on her journey!
What do you do when you meet what could be the love of your life just days before going abroad for 3 months? Well duh.... You go! Alexa meets Nathan and its instant attraction! They spend some time getting to know each enough to know the next three months will suck! They try and keep in contact but after a month things start changing and Alex thinks that might be it... It's another great short read and of course you get closer ;)
3) Confessions of an Onlie Dater: Written by Chloe Harrison
So this was my first story by Cloe Harrison and I am now a fan! Such a cute short about online dating! Anna's and her friend have bet that makes Anna date every guy that askes her on the site. Anna has a whole red flag list after learning more and more with all the dates she's been on, but Veronica is convinced she can find someone worth while. Mabe there is a guy you wouldn't give a chance but could be everything you could want. Loved it and can't wait to read more from Ms. Harrison!
4) Summer Loving: Written by Helen Cooper
Again this was a first for me! But HOTT DAMN!!! Helen Cooper left me salivating for more! This can totally be made into a novel and be fantastic read! Jess gets dumped by her almost a year boyfriend and never saw it coming! Jess decides she no longer wants to be a good girl and plans on being naughty on their summer vacation! Not only does she, but she goes balls to the wall bad! I loved it!!
5) We Meet Again: Written by Suzi Case
And AGAIN another first by this author! This one was about Gemma who lost her job when the economy took a turn for the worst. She is trying different things only to keep running into the same asshole each time. She is just looking for something to pay the bills until things pick up. She decides to take her friends advice and lie on her resume to be in a choir as back up. This was a cute short that made me smile.
I'm seriously going to have a huge TBR once I get to one clicking all of these authors! I like this anthology because its a quick read that you can do while at an apt, taking a break, before bed, or anything else. There is no waiting until you have more time to find out what happens. I especially love that I get a taste of different authors and decide who I want to read more from! This is a perfect summer read!
Rating 5 stars!
About The Authors:
- J.S. Cooper
J. S. Cooper is a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author. She is a true romantic that is in love with love. The J. S. stands for Jaimie Suzi. She just thought J. S. sounded cooler! J. S. was born in London, England and moved to the States at age 17. She studied history in college and then went to law school and then decided to follow her writing dreams.
J. S. writes 'New Adult' contemporary romance books because that is what she also loves to read.
- Jessica Wood
Jessica Wood writes new adult contemporary romance and chick-lit. A debut book, A Night To Forget, was released on June 20, 2013. This is book one of the two-book series called Emma's Story. If you enjoy this book, please like and follow her on her Facebook page: www.facebook.com/jessicawoodauthor
Book two of this series, The Day To Remember is scheduled to be released in August 2013.
While Jessica has lived in countless cities throughout the U.S., her heart belongs to San Francisco. To her, there's something seductively romantic about the Golden Gate Bridge, the steep rolling hills of the city streets, the cable cars, and the Victorian-style architecture.
She loves a strong, masculine man with a witty personality. While she is headstrong and extremely independent, she can't resist a man who takes control of the relationship, both outside and inside of the bedroom.
She loves to travel internationally, and tries to plan a yearly trip abroad. She also loves to cook and bake, and--to the benefit of her friends--she loves to share. She also enjoys ceramics and being creative with her hands. She has a weakness for good (maybe bad) TV shows; she's up-to-date on over 25 current shows, and no, that wasn't a joke.
And it goes without saying, she loves books--they're like old and dear friends who have always been there to make her laugh and make her cry.
The one thing she wished she had more of is time.
Helen Cooper is a true romantic. She believes in true love, soul mates and lots of fun. She enjoys reading, playing tennis and writing romance and erotic romance books.
