In the follow-up to Colleen Hoover’s #1 New York Times bestseller Hopeless, the charming and irresistible Dean Holder tells the passionate story that has melted thousands of hearts.
In Hopeless, Sky left no secret unearthed, no feeling unshared, and no memory forgotten, but Holder’s past remained a mystery.
Still haunted by the little girl he let walk away, Holder has spent his entire life searching for her in an attempt to finally rid himself of the crushing guilt he has felt for years. But he could not have anticipated that the moment they reconnect, even greater remorse would overwhelm him…
Sometimes in life, if we wish to move forward, we must first dig deep into our past and make amends. In Losing Hope, bestselling author Colleen Hoover reveals what was going on inside Holder’s head during all those hopeless moments—and whether he can gain the peace he desperately needs.
I love music. LOVE music. Namely The Avett Brothers, Lumineers, Pink, Eminem. I have eclectic taste? If you have any recommendations, send them my way!
I'm addicted to diet pepsi and could tell you in a taste-test which restaurant it came from. It's a serious addiction, I tell you.
I get stoked whenever I get a message from goodreads saying I have a new friend request...so request me, dangit!

"Every kiss, every movement, every moan, every touch of her hand against my skin. She’s my saving grace. My Hope. And I’m never walking away from her again.”-holder
Mrs. Hoover has done it again!! I was an emotional wreck after hopeless but this gem gave readers a piece of holder's world words can't even begin to describe. In hopeless we got to know sky. In losing hope the reader in given Basically the same story but through holder's eyes. Please note many parts of this story are retold points from hopeless but there are also many new events/glimpses into other characters lives.
In this one mrs. hoover gives us ALL of holder. He has been through so much in his life, from the beginning chapters I was an emotional wreck. This book starts the year before holder/sky meet. We get to see what his life and emotions were like leading up to and after the sucide of his sister. I'm telling you now have the tissue on hand people. His griveing process and copping mechanism when dealing with his sisters death was heart wrenching to read.
As this story continues we also find out his feelings of emptiness/hopelessness are steaming from life's hardships he's endured including losing his childhood love hope. His guilt for the loosing two women that he held dear eats him alive to the point of almost know return. Until one day a fellow classmate walks in his life and things change forever. Sky taught holder how to live and love again. The saying you never forget your first love rings true in this one. Everything from their smile, their eyes, and the sound of their voice when they are happy/sad. Mrs. Hoover gave us the past, present and future of holder/sky's love story and it was just as beautiful as the first time.
I loved this book just as much as book one. I feel in love all over again with holder. Also I loved how mrs. Hoover have us Insight into the lives of the secondary characters also. Daniel, holders BFF loved him. Great job mrs. Hoover as usual!
Book rating: 5 stars/A
