Review:

A story of accepting who you are, not what you want to be and learning that the grass is not always greener on the other side.

We meet a young lady on holiday, her father a diplomat and a family of privilege.  While sunning on the sandy beach she decides to sun bathe and then go for a swim in the ocean.  She stumbles upon an island, naked her journey begins.  Not the journey that she was hoping for and somewhere along the way she finds herself on the island all her belongings left on the sands of the beach.  Naked, a man approaches, ties her up takes her to who knows where, beats her with bamboo, rapes her. To her surprise she does not find any of this alarming.  Her body sold to a man who in turn beats her as well and rapes her.  She then is sold to a man, learns he is a sheikh.  He beats the man who whipped her with the cane, then takes her down the shore, to her amazement, she is giving herself to him willingly.  He takes her to his ship, finds herself in his land the Sahara.  Day after day they make love, she belongs to him and he to her.  After becoming one of the “clan” the father comes, ashamed of his son, he sends the girl away, again to be traded into slavery.  She remembers the days with her family, friends and job. She wonders what will happen to her only to find that she is saved by the sheikh, the man she loves and who loves her.  Home she goes to the life she once fled and wanted nothing to do with.

Is the grass always greener on the other side of the fence? This story walks you through that, allowing you to see what you had to what you think you want or need.  Finding yourself in the midst of it all.
