Max Kensington ‘s death haunted him for years. The guilt of his sins tormented him. Unable to let go, he was sure he’d never be able to atone for all of them. But that didn’t stop him from trying. 

When his reason for being is suddenly thrust back into his life, he vows to protect her at all costs. He’ll do whatever it takes to make sure history doesn’t repeat itself. And this time, he’ll fight to the bitter end to capture the one thing that has alluded him—happiness.

Sarah started her obsession with reading at an early age, often sneaking BabySitter Club and Nancy Drew books into math class. She would read any book she could get her hands on. Her love of reading quickly evolved into a love of writing and stories began to pour out of her. 

She grew up in Pittsburgh, graduated from The University of Pittsburgh with a degree in English, and taught 8th graders to love reading as much as she does for several years. Sarah will always be a proud member of the Steelers' Nation, but couldn't take the cold and moved her frozen tush to Florida where she now lives with her family and two cats. You will find her now with her trusty Kindle in hand and toes in the sand!

This is pretty much where it all starts for Lucy and Max and where we meet the gang, Cassie, James and Adam and Marco.  This book is where we learn how Max came to be aPatronus.  We read his story, feel his grief, pain, emotions and guilt.

What does it take to get him through? To see that what happened as a human was not his fault, just was meant to be.   Then without warning, it happens.   We meet LucyDonovan, 21 year old who makes Max feel something he never thought he would again.  What is it, why is it so strong, like 2 heart beats, beating as one.  What he is told by the Alpha’s council member leaves him speechless.  How can it be?  Grace was his one and only, but this new feeling…

Lucy wakes up, it’s been 5 months.  Max and Cassie are there, so are James and Adam.  Cassie like the doting mother, takes Lucy under her wings, explains the Patronuslife as simply as she can, while one member of the team is frothing at the bit.  

Yes, this is the beginning of life ever after, her life and the life of her team and friends.  Get the tissues out, you’ll need them.  Okay, I needed them.
