1. Where were you born and where do you call home? I was born in northern Arkansas. Nashville, TN is where I reside. But the only place I ever feel truly at home is when I'm at the beach . . . a tropical beach.
2. Tell us about something that has just/recently happened in your life that you would like to share? I tried Nutella . . . it has changed my life . . . and my waistline.
3. If you had to sum up inception in 30 or less words, what would you say? A story of love—past and present—fantastical beings, hidden realms, magic, fate, loss, the fight of good versus evil, and, of course . . . The Angel of Karma.
4. If you gave Gabrielle and Lucas an opportunity to speak for themselves, what would they say? A lot of curse words, I would think. They would probably simply want to know how it all ends for them. They have no idea where they are heading—what heartaches or triumphs I have in store for them or those they care about.

There seems to be something she's keeping from the world and I would love to try and find out what it is. I would have said J.R.R. Tolkien, but that's not possible.
9. What authors have inspired your work? Shannon Hale, Kristin Cashore, Marion Zimmer Bradley, J.R.R. Tolkien, Neil Gaiman, and J.K. Rowling, just to name a handful. There are many, many amazing writers who have inspired me. I can't wait to find the next ones.
10. Are you currently working on any upcoming projects? Book two of The Reaping Chronicles (of course), which is tentatively scheduled to be released in February of 2014. The first book in my next series called, The Silver Rift, which I have an excerpt up on my website for that one . . . if you want to take a peek. I hope to have the first in that series out by the end of this year. And the other project I want to do is a really creepy standalone book called, Whispers of Stacey Glen, which I also hope to have out by the end of the year. There are quite a few more I have planned over the next eight years.
