Fate and Fury by Quinn Loftis Book Review
I came across the grey wolves series about a year ago through a friends recommendation. Needless to say I haven't turned back since. This series is full of hot alpha males and a group of crazy lol funny female BFF's. Seriously people think chealsa handler meets Tina fey, that's how hard I've laughed at times in this series. Fate and fury is book 6!!! If you haven't even read book one STOP reading this now, and go to your nearest kindle/nook site to get started.
Now lets get down to it!!! Quinn loftis has created a readers fantasy land with this series. With Each book of this series, the imagination of characters GROWS. In fate and fury you not only have wolves and fairies but warlocks, witches, and elves also. Did I mention that the warlocks and elves are HOT!
Ok so this book picks up where book 5 ends. The males are prisoners of the in between, jenn is prego, jackie is under a sleep spell, and perry fairy is the glue trying to hold everything together. Let me just stop to Say I LOVE PERI FAIRY! She was so freaking funny!
The great Luna has spoken. All the wolf packs are uniting to try to save humanity from the evil witch. Smh so many hot sexy alpha wolves under one roof yum and fun WRONG!! As this story plays out the twists/turns/drama/near death experiences(i think you get the point) lead to alliances being made. The coming together of different supernaturals for one fight was WOW!
As usual I loved all the characters new and old. I liked this book. There were points in the middle though were It didn't hold my attention as well as other prior books in this series. However I could always count on peri fairy to get me back on the laughing track. I will end by saying. I already loved debacl before this book, but I fell in love all over again (selfless man, sigh). The ending no doubt about it left me wanting more! I need more quinn loftis!
Good job Mrs. Loftis. I'm already needing book #7.
Book rating: I originally was leaning toward 3.5/C but the last part/ending of this book brought it to a 4 stars/B.
Cheer,

1. Where were you born and where do you call home?
I was born in Michigan, and call Upstate New York home. I DO love New York, to sound terribly cliché
2. Tell us about something that has just/recently happened in your life that you would like to share? Just got back from a week-long trip out west. I sure enjoyed the sunshine.
3. If you had to sum up unloveable in 30 or less words, what would you say? Unlovable is the story of Maggie Brown who is struggle to survive. She has spent her life in a world void of love and human companionship. Her world is about to change when Seth Prescott enters.
4. If you gave maggie and seth an opportunity to speak for themselves, what would they say? Never give up!
5. If your book was made into a TV series or Movie, what actors would you like to see playing your characters? Please send me pics lol!!! Unlovable is being made into a movie! I’d love to see Demi Moore play the mother. As for Maggie, I’m unsure. Maybe Chloe Grace Mortez. For Seth: Zac Efron! (though Chloe doesn’t really match up with Zac, so again, unsure on Maggie.) For Booker: Karl Urban (He plays Bones in the new Star Trek movies) but he is too old, though he’s still perfect. So instead maybe Tom Welling??
6. List 3 books you just recently read and would recommend to readers? Les Miserables, by Victor Hugo…love it, read it before, will read it again! Watched, by Cindy Bennett. And Fractured Soul by Rachel McClellan
7. What is Your Favorite Wine? Diet Pepsi!

9. What authors have inspired your work? JK Rowling, Stephenie Meyers, Neil Giaman, Victor Hugo, to name a few.
10. Are you currently working on any upcoming projects? I just finished book two of the Port Fare series called UNBELIEVABLE. It picks up where Unlovable drops off. And a short story Titled Loving Marigold, it is a romantic tale involving a witch!
Thanks for the interview! Great questions. I appreciate you taking the time to post about Unlovable and for reading the books!

Book Review
“I'm going to kiss you now, Evie, and when I do, it's going to mean that you're mine. I don't care how far away from each other we are. You. Are. Mine. I'll wait for you. And I want you to wait for me. Promise me you won't let anyone else touch you. Promise me you'll save yourself for me.”-Leo
This book is the love story of Evie and Leo, two kids in foster care. Their story is one of abuse, pain, heart break, and love. On a roof top Leo made Evie a promise to love her forever and come back for her once they were 18. Well as this book starts its eight years later and NO Leo or so we think!! I loved how This book alternated between the past and present. The reader was able to get just enough of evie/Leo's child hood love story to mix with their current one ( good job mrs. Sheridan).
As this book starts out were introduced to evie's character. The life evie has endured as a child of the foster care system is heartbreaking. But how she overcame her circumstances and wasnt a victim to the system like so many she knew was remarkable. I Love a STRONG WOMAN. Evie's life is good, she has great friends, a good job and a place of her own. But she doesnt have the love of her life, leo.
Well eight years later since the roof top promise, evie has a Stalker who turns out to be Leo's friend jake. Jake is all alpha male with the rich boy charm to go along with it. You know how you sometimes get that creepy feeling you know someone but cant quite place it,well keep that in mind as you read this book. Jake delivers the message to evie that Leo died but he asked him to check on her to make sure things were ok. Well messaged delivered, job over right? Nope. Jake has other plans, he wants Evie to be his. There is no mistaking the chemistry between these two from their first meeting.
As this book continues to play out. The feelings between Evie and jake become stronger. Evie finds herself opening up and trusting jake completely. But jake doesn't reciprocate this....why?? Oh boy there are always secrets....the twist, turns and mystery this book took toward the end made the book that much better. It kept me on my toes. There is so much more I could say about this book but for the sake of not giving the MYSTERY away I'm stopping here.
I loved this book. This was Mrs. Sheridan's debut novel and a great start to the series. I loved jake and evie's characters. My favorite part of this book was evie's stories. Storytelling was a outlet for her and the others around her. In a dark and cruel world it gave them light as well as hope. It's amazing the power of a story! Ill end with one of my favorite story's evie told.
“We are both silent for several minutes but eventually, I roll onto my back and say, "There was once a very beautiful woman, and although she had the face of an angel, she was hollow on the inside. Right in the place where her heart should have been located, there was just a big, gaping hole. Because of this defect, an ogre was able to court her and she married him; he was as ugly on the inside as he was on the outside."
"One day the woman needed to get away from the ogre because his ugly personality and his ugly face became too much for her to bear, and as it turned out, even hollow people can only take so much ugliness."
"She walked and walked until she came upon a quiet meadow and she lay down in the middle of that meadow, soaking in the stillness of the night. What she didn't know was that there was a great beast lurking nearby; A massive lion, with a mane of gold and the thunderous roar of a hundred lions."
“As the beautiful but hollow woman lay in the field, this beast approached her quietly and when she opened her eyes and spied him, she was spellbound because the sight of him was like nothing she had ever seen. He held the woman down with one massive paw, although, strangely, she wasn't scared, only curious. When dawn broke, the beauty awoke and thought that the night before had been only a dream. But the woman was now carrying a child, a son. And this beautiful boy would have the gifts of both his parents, the beauty of his mother and the heart of his father, the heart of a lion.” --Evie
Again Mrs. Sheridan great job on your debut novel. You took imagination and story telling to a whole new level!
Book rating: A/4.5 stars

WARNING, INTERVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS - DON'T READ IF YOU ARE
PLANNING ON READING LEO**
Hi Leo and thanks for stopping by to join us today. If you feel me
ogling you at any time during this interview don't be alarmed it's
normal! I mean hey what can I say you''re hot!!! Ok let's let the
readers get to know Leo a little.
1. Can you please give us a little introduction about yourself?
compliment. Hey, I'm Leo. I guess I'd say I'm just an ordinary guy who
had some extraordinary things happen to me - both good and bad. Out of
the bad came the good which is that I met my soul mate when I was 11
years old and through some miracle, she's my wife now.
through it all a hundred times over to be where I am today.
2. When did you first realize you loved evie?
It feels like I've loved Evie all my life.
met when she was ten and I was 11. Not everyone believes in love at
first sight, but I took one look at her and knew that she was gentle
and kind... and that she had the prettiest face I'd ever seen. I was a
goner from that day forward.
3. If Leo was made into a movie who would you cast as characters? And
no you can't cast yourself...
Dobrev and it's almost uncanny how much Evie looks like her. Only, you
know, Evie is even more beautiful but I guess I'm biased.
I'm not qualified to cast myself... I'll leave that up to you,
Melannie.
4. If you had three words to describe Evie what would they be?
That's easy. Generous, loving, and beautiful.
5. What is the most precious thing in your life?
My wife and my sons. My family. I love saying that - my family.
6. What song best describes your relationship with evie?
Edwin McCain's, "I'll Be." The lyrics are perfect for us. That's the
song we danced to at our wedding.
7. What can readers expect next from you?
Well, Evie told her side of our story, and now it's my turn. I went
through some intense stuff to finally be in a place to come back to
Evie and I hope readers will enjoy getting into my head.
not always a pretty place to be... sometimes chaos reigns but I'd like
to think it's always interesting.
Ok now it's quick draw time....
1. Favorite book? Unbroken by Laura Hillenbrand - a great story about survival.
2. Favorite wine? Evie and I love wines from Australia where we went
on our honeymoon. They have some amazing reds.
3. Favorite position?

4. Vanilla or kinky? Yes.
5. Favorite quote? "Every truth has two sides; it is as well to look
at both, before we commit ourselves to either." -Aesop

Amazon Description
NEW YORK TIMES and USA TODAY Bestselling book!
I wasn't always in love with Colton Calloway; I was in love with his younger brother, Kyle, first. Kyle was my first one true love, my first in every way.
Then, one stormy August night, he died, and the person I was died with him.
Colton didn't teach me how to live. He didn't heal the pain. He didn't make it okay. He taught me how to hurt, how to not be okay, and, eventually, how to let go.
***
Nell Hawthorne is in love with her life-long best friend, Kyle Calloway. Their young love is invincible and life is full of promise; then one night Kyle dies suddenly in a tragic accident and Nell is forever changed. She meets Kyle's older brother Colton for the first time at the funeral. They both struggle to move on with life as best they can. Years later, they meet again in New York City, and Colton realizes that Nell has never really gotten over Kyle's death. She seems to be harboring a deeply rooted pain, a heavy weight of guilt and regret. He knows he shouldn't get involved, but he can't help himself. Trust doesn't come easily for either of them, and they both have demons. Together, they learn the purpose of pain and the meaning of healing, and the importance of forgiveness.
Excerpt
It was just a single sob at first, a quick, hysterical inhalation. Then a second. And then I couldn't stop it. Tears, a flood of them. I felt the sand grow cold and muddy under my face, felt my body shuddering uncontrollably. He didn't tell me it was okay. He didn't try to pull me against him or onto his lap. He kept his hand on my shoulder and sat silent next to me.
I knew I wouldn't be able to stop. I'd let go, and now the river would flow un-dammed.
No. No. I shook my head, clenched my teeth, lifted up and let myself fall down hard, sending a spear of pain spiderwebbing out from my arm. The pain was a drug, and I accepted it greedily. It was a dam, stemming the tide of tears....

Author Interview
1. Where were you born and where do you call home?
I was born in Metro Detroit and I still live there now, about an hour outside the city.
2. Tell us about something that has just/recently happened in your life that you would like to share?
Well, right now the big deal is how crazy Falling Into You has gone. It’s caught a lot of attention, which is awesome. It’s on the NYT, USA Today, and Wall Street Journal bestseller lists. I’m still kind of shocked.
3. If you had to sum up falling into you in 30 or less words, what would you say?
Childhood best friends fall in love, boy dies tragically, girl can’t deal, meets boy’s older brother at funeral. Feels guilty for feeling connection, fights it, ends up in love.
4. If you gave colton and nell an opportunity to speak for themselves, what would they say?
They’d say thanks for reading our story. They’d hope you find something worthwhile in their story, some kind of release or healing.
5. If your book was made into a TV series or Movie, what actors would you like to see playing your characters? Please send me pics lol!!!
I see Kellan Lutz as Colton, Liam Hemsworth as Kyle, and Amanda Seyfried as Nell.
6. List 3 books you just recently read and would recommend to readers?
Hmm. I just recently finished Music of the Heart by my amazingly talented and very good friend Katie Ashley. Read it! It’s sneaking up on me on Amazon! I’d also recommend The Cards of Life and Death by Colleen Gleason and The Boldest Man in Ballymuir by Dorien Kelly.
7. What is Your Favorite Wine?
Moscato. I don’t have a favorite brand, but I’m partial to Barefoot wines in general.
8. Is there an Author that you would really like to meet in person?
I might be revealing my inner fangirl by admitting this, but I’d LOVE to meet Stephanie Meyer or JK Rowling.
9. What authors have inspired your work?
I’m inspired by good writing. I’m inspired by my fellow indie and hybrid authors. I read A LOT, so everything I read inspires my work. A character trait, a turn of phrase, the way a book works out, an overall feel, all this stuff is inspired by and drawn from the things I read by my friends and peers.
10. EBook, Paperback or Hardcover?
YES. I’m super busy so I tend snatch an hour of reading here and there on my Kindle App for my iPhone, but I love the feel of a good paperback in my hands (preferably on the beach!). Those classic books, the favorites like Twilight and Harry Potter, those I have in hardcover on my shelf.
11. Are you currently working on any upcoming projects?
Duh! Have you seen my backlist? LOL. I’m always, always writing. Right now I’m working on Big Girls Do It Pregnant, which ties up both the Big Girls Do It series and the Rock Stars Do It series. After that I’m going to go work on the follow-up novel to Falling Into You, which isn’t a direct sequel but rather a parallel follow-up. It will give the epilogue to Colton and Nell that people are going rabid for, but it will be a different story. That’s all I can say right now.

Book Review
Mrs. Wilder Mrs. Wilder....smh. I can always count on you to make me an emotional wreck after a read. I was late getting around to reading the book compared to many of my friends. Best advice they all gave me was have mr. Kleenx on hand for the ENTIRE book. To all of you I thank you lol!
Mrs. Wilder this year has become one of my most favorite authors. The way she takes tradgey, sensitive topics, and downright turmoil in people's lives and molds it into a love story can only be described as TRAGICALLY BEAUTIFUL! Those are exactly the words I used when someone asked me to describe this book.
This is Nell and Colton's love story. As fate may have it these two are brought together by a tragic event/death...You know what they say in the midst of weddings/funerals family comes out of the wood work. Well here that's actually the case. Kyle is the younger brother of Colton and BF/BFF of Nell who was tragically killed. As much I want to go into the night of Kyle's death, i cant. I'm emotional drained and all out tears. Trust me read the book, it's a scene you won't forget.
Nell/Colton's chemistry begins the night of the funeral.... Picture a dock, a guitar and bottle of Jameson. This seriously for some reason made me think of the ottis Redding song sitting on the dock if the bay. yes weird i know, dont judge me lol. But for those interested find link below, lol. Of course neither act on the sparks/warm fuzzies and now this journey of love begins.
Now I'm going To take some time to talk about these two individually. This story was told from both nell and Colton's POV. Ill start with Nell.
In the beginning Her character was the girl next door falls in love with the boy next door. After Kyle's death she is haunted by that night and blames herself for causing his death. to a point it even consumes her. Why you ask? Read the book, not giving it away! She is numb. This numbness/pain turns to CUTTING and excessive drinking. Well years after the dock meeting/venture she finds her self face to face again with Colton. Yup you probably guessed it the warm fuzzies/tingling feeling is still there. Well as this book continues we see she struggles with her new found feeling/emotions toward Colton.
When Colton first saw Nell on that dock he felt it. Was this wrong? Hell his life had been nothing but wrong choices and turns..... But he knew this wasn't going away. When he sees her years later.... yup he was right that chemistry was still there. Through all the mixture if emotions he also sees she is still as broken as that night on the dock but the pain was worse now. A broken person can recognize another broken person. In so many words yes he has walked in her shoes. Was he still broken/hurting from his past? Yes but he was healing also. As this book progresses we learned about Colton's past and what he has been through. Lets just say I fell in love with him and hated his parents! His story is one of SURVIVAL and it is heart wrenching. Thank goodness for large boxes of kleenx.
I LOVED this book. Colton taught Nell how to grieve, survive, and love again. Nell's love for Colton filled a void in him that had been there for so many years due to his encounters in life. As this book approached the end I had my fingers crossed happy ending pleaseeee. You know the saying dont count your eggs before they hatch well don't. Lets just say in the end something happens to cause Nell to run again. Colton finally has found the one thing in life that makes him fully complete and he refuses to let it slip through his hands. Needless to say he fights for his woman (fist pumps). But will he be to late to save her?
The ending of this book had me just as emotional as the rest, smh. I was proud of the strength Colton showed in the end but after all these two had already been through geez. Smh the turn of events in the end was gut wrenching. As I stated before this love story was TRAGICALLY BEAUTIFUL from beginning to end.
Good job Mrs. Wilder. You have earned the title of fine wine once again!
Book rating: A +/5stars
