This was my first Tess Oliver read and it was a good story. We start by meeting Summer and LOTS of drama that changes the path she planed on taking in life. She up roots herself from everything she known and dreamt of to move from California to Minnasota and run her late grandfathers restaurant. Needless to say things aren't so easy and she is definately tested in life.

Enter Gage! Gage is a sexy logger who was hoping to buy the Raven's Nest (her grandfather's restaurant). Once he learns Summer has moved here to take over he can't help but hope she fails. These two don't really start off on the right foot, well she catches him coming out of the women's bathroom after having sex and breaking a sink. These two end up having more encounters that rattle them both. There's an instant attraction but they both fight it and I love the banter between them.

They both grow as people and fall hard for each other. They have a hard time letting their guard down and trusting the other. Gage never thought he'd fall for one girl so some of the choices he makes when things aren't how he wants them will make you want to smack him. The only reason I am not giving this a 5 star was the instalove and sometimes (rarely) the dialogue didn't seem believable to me.

He looked at me a long moment. "I want you so fucking bad, Summer, it hurts." He combed his long hair back with his fingers and chuckled at some inside joke. "You have no idea how bad."

"Then what's holding you back? It seems to me--"

He shook his head. "Can't explain it to myself." His dark lashes dropped as he stared down at the floor, and when he lifted his face to me, I realized that I was falling hard for him.

"I guess I don't want to scare you off." He shook his head. "Not that I'm scary in bed," he quickly amended. "I don't want to come on too strong. Hell, I guess I'm just trying to make a good impression."

"Stop with the good impression shit. I want a lasting impression, Gage."

His pale blue eyes flickered in the light as he looked at me. "I can do lasting." He crossed the room in two steps. His arms curled around my back, and he pulled me against him. His mouth covered mine. The kiss was long and hard and driven by that intense longing that had been building up between us. He took hold of my good hand and walked me down the short hall to my bedroom. He pushed open the door with his boot and led me inside.

So I'm a HUGE Alexis Noelle fan and This was her best yet, I could not put it down!!! Jessica is freaking awesome and I love her sharp comments. She is fun and outgoing and I loved getting to know her! She is feisty and a lady of the night.

Jessica is an escort! She doesn't love her job, but it's what pays for school and she consider it a means to an end. That is until the hotter than hell Damon takes over the scheduling and paying of the girls! The rules change and Jessica has to see more of him then she cares for. Relationships are messy and not what she need, but Damon doesn't care! He is in her face from day 1 and can't stay away. She punches, he pulls, and it gets hot and heavy!

Jessica doesn't give in easy, but let's be serious, we all know she will! But of course things are easier said then done. Jessica can't quit her job and Damon can't stand the thought of sending her out each time knowing what she's going to be doing. THEN something happens that freaking blew me away and I did not see coming!!! I compare it to being run over by a freaking train!! When the truth comes out hearts are broken, and I'm not sure they can be fixed.... But the epilogue, will have you holding your breath for book 2. OMG what an ending.

This really is a must read! I loved the story line and loved the build up of the characters throughout. Yea it was instant attraction but they still took time getting to know each other. It was a good build up and not the annoying hearts and flowers from day 1. The flow of the story was great and the dialogue between the characters both fun and serious. I thought I knew where things were leading but I was SOOO wrong! I can't wait to read more from Alexis Noelle and I definitely cannot wait for book 2!!!!!!!!!!

I love reading romance books! I feel like being able to lose yourself in a book in one of the more exciting aspects. The books I love to read and write will be ones that make you feel for the characters. You should have an opinion on every character in a book. Whether you love them, hate them, or think they are up to something.

I live in Philadelphia Pennsylvania with my husband, two kids, and two dogs. On top of starting a writing career I am a full time student, and a full time mom. I love spending time with my kids, although I have to hide the computer from them when I am writing! I love being active and being able to do any activity outdoors.

I have always thought as an author the most important critic is your reader, so I would love to hear from you. If you read the book and loved it or hated it, tell me. As long as it is in a constructive way I will always answer and interact with you. I want fans to feel free to tell me what they want for the characters in the story and what they want to see happen.

About the Author

I grew up on the Florida panhandle, swimming with alligators, climbing oak trees and diving for scallops…when I could pull myself away from a book. As a child, I hid my Nancy Drew novels inside the church bulletin and read mysteries during sermons—an irony that is not lost on me when I preach these days.

I’m an Episcopal Priest with a bachelor’s degree in religious studies. I believe stories are the best way to explore human truths. Some people think it’s strange for a minister to write romance, but it is perfectly natural to me, because the human desire for love is at the heart of every romance novel and God made people with that desire. I write paranormal, historical and contemporary romance and live with my husband and two children in San Francisco.
