Ok ok I have I admit I've never read beautiful creatures but mrs. Garcia's work has been recommended to me on more than one occasion. I devoured this book while on the beach on vacation recently. Kennedy waters thought the supernatural world was just make believe that is until a supernatural being killed her mom. Good thing the supernatural dream team is in town scoping things out. Ok ok... Let me just say if there are any fans of the supernatural tv show ,you will love this book. Meet Lukas, Jared (twin brothers), priest and alara the other four members of the legion. Yes you guessed it Kennedy is the missing fifth member, or is she, lol. Only problem is she has no clue what a legion is and she was never prepared like the others were by family members. This is Kennedy's journey of self discovery. She is a young teenage girl with built up aggression and daddy abandonment issues. The legions main goal is to defeat the demon aras, who by all means is a force to be reckoned with.  Mrs. Garcia gave her readers action and a little bit of a love triangle. There is nothing like the two brothers fighting over the newbie. Oh how does a girl choose which brother? I loved the secondary characters in this book, all the way from the crazy/sassy BFF to the cutie pie nerd priest. This was a great start to a series and I really enjoyed it!
