Moving right along on with my New Years resolution to read new authors this year. Mrs. Holmes book came across my amazon timeline and the blurb caught my eye.  I was in need of a good sexy murder mystery. Considering many books I've read in this category have made me feel like I was playing a game of clue this one didn't. Mrs. Holmes kept me on my toes and kept me guessing the till the end. Let me just say the ending gave me that mouth hanging open moment and thinking I should have know (smh).  She gave readers a twist of murder mystery mixed with a love story. Well think naive girl and hot convict! 

Trace and Shannon had been friends a long time. Shannon was an abused girl with a southern beauty queen rough around the edges mom. Trace was the son of the help and very out spoken. One day things go south and trace finds himself behind bars for the murder of Shannon's mom . Oh but guess who helped place him there? Yup Shannon! Ok here's the thing do you forgive because she was traumatized or do you hold a grudge?  Ya this story got a whole lot more interesting, lol. After 12 years Shannon suspects she helped convict the wrong man and she's on a mission to make  things right. Right for the man she has always loved and for herself. This book had it all. The twists and turns were great. Somethings I saw coming and others I didn't.  This is the first book in a trilogy by mrs. Holmes. Can't wait to read more. Good job.
