This wasn't my first Sopir Jordan read, I am also a fan of her Hidden series. This however, was VERY different from that one! Once I saw the author I was excited to see where her work in this genre would go, and so glad I did! She makes it feel like you are watching the whorl story play out before your eyes. It's like watching it all happen to a close friend.

We meet Emerson who only shows people what she wants them to see. Everyone says she very promiscuous and that's what she wants. She doesn't let anyone close enough to let them in.but one chance meeting changes everything! I loved how even though it was kinda insta-love it was a roller-coaster every step of the way! They both fought their attraction to each other knowing that the other was dangerous to their heart. 

BUT.....

Shaw decides to let go and fall, and what a man!!!! Being military, I love when characters have that background. It really shapes a person and makes you appreciate life. Shaw knew she wanted him even if she would admit it and he persued HARD!!! I loved it! It was like watching a lion stalk a deer, you know who's going to win, or so you think!

Just when things get good, the past rears it's ugly head in and tears apart Emerson once again, leaving her confused as ever. Only now, she has a choice to make, does she give up her game or continue the tease?

The flow of the story was awesome! I read it all in one sitting because I just could not put it down! Sophie keeps you on pins and needles waiting to see what's going to happen next that before you know it, it's over! I didn't read book 1 first so this can be read as a standalone, but I already 1clicked  book 1 Foreplay!
