Edward nods at Andy and turns to walk away. Just when I think he’s going to heed Damon’s warning to leave me be, he makes brief eye contact. “Josephine,” he says calmly. His disposition seems indifferent, but something in that man’s eyes makes my skin crawl.

I know I should refrain, but my mace-wielding inner self charges ahead. “McFuckstick,” I greet him just as curtly as he greeted me. I can’t help but rejoice a little on the inside. It’s a small insult, but it feels good nonetheless. The very least he deserves is an insult or two. Asshole.

I LOVE this series!!! I am going to keep this as spoiler free as possible for those of you who have not read book 1 and 2.

In book 1 and 2 we learn how Jo and Damon's lives are intertwined both last and present. Book 2 is more about learning to accept things for what they are while still fighting for what you want and need. At the end of book 2 we all got hit with the shock of a lifetime and left holding our breaths until JL FINALLY graced us with book 3! I swear it felt like years but I'm just impatient :-)

Well book 3 is more into Damon's past. As Jo learns more and more her heartbreaks and she is filled with these secrets that she is terrified will push Damon over the edge. More and more pile on and it gets harder and harder. She wants Damon to be happy and their relationship is pretty fragile ( you have to read book 1 and 2 to know why)

I will say that this book is a bit different then book 1 and 2. It isn't a long read and it was hard to get emotionally invested like the first 2 but I was happy to have an ending. I was expecting more for it being a 3rd book and end story so I was a bit disappointed. Books 1 and 2 will blow you away and maybe reading all 3 back to back will be a better experience. BUT I am still glad I read it!
