Synopsis:
New Adult Contemporary Romance **Mature Content** Recommended for 17+ due to mature language and adult situations.
The Day to Remember is the second book in the two-book series, Emma's Story. The first book in the series, A Night to Forget is currently available.
What happens when the dream is over and reality sets in?
When Emma Anderson meets and falls in love with the man from her dreams--the deep-dimpled and incredibly gorgeous Brandon Fisher--she wasn't expecting her heart to be broken by him and his complicated life. But despite Brandon's baggage, the inextricable pull Emma and Brandon feel for one another seems strong enough to keep them together.
Just when Emma thinks she can have a happily-ever-after with Brandon, a dark secret from her past threatens Emma's chances at true happiness with Brandon--a secret so dark and hidden that even her best friends don't know about it.
Will Emma and Brandon's love be strong enough to withstand the external factors that seem to pull them apart, or will Emma's dream man be nothing but just that--a dream?

Review:
Well I know it is no secret what a fan of Jessica's I am! Her writing speaks to my soul! She has only been an official author for a few months now and has taken this community by storm! Her books give us a little of everything without getting boring or overly raunchy.
*** If you have not read book 1 then this review may contain SPOILERS***
Well after the heart stopping cliffhanger from book 1 we pick up a little while after with Emma not handling the news too well! Thankfully Brandon being the shining prince that he is, doesn't give up! He tracks her down and they talk it out. At that point I thought it would be all cupcakes and rainbows...
I seriously did not see the MAJOR BOMBSHELL coming!!! Even as you are reading this, there is NO way to predict what happens! The suspense is killing you now right?
Both Emma and Brandon have secrets in their past that will come back and bite EVERYTHING in the ass!!! I literally had to put my IPAD down in fear that I would not get my happy ending.
BUT...
I am glad I kept reading because the drama was FAR from over!!! FYI I like writting in caps for effect!! LOL!!
This is a dramatic must read where the ending works out how it SHOULD. That does not mean it will end how you want it. Or does it? Looks like you will have to find out! It really was a perfect sequel to A Night To Forget, and those who have read it, Jessica does not disappoint!
Rating: 5 Stars
*** I recieved an ARC in exchange for an honest review***
Cheers,Erika

About Jessica Wood
Jessica
Wood writes new adult contemporary romance. Her debut book, A Night To
Forget, was released on June 20, 2013. This is book one of the two-book
series called Emma's Story. If you enjoy this book, please like and

While Jessica has lived in countless cities throughout the U.S., her heart belongs to San Francisco. To her, there's something seductively romantic about the Golden Gate Bridge, the steep rolling hills of the city streets, the cable cars, and the Victorian-style architecture.
She loves a strong, masculine man with a witty personality. While she is headstrong and extremely independent, she can't resist a man who takes control of the relationship, both outside and inside of the bedroom.
She loves to travel internationally, and tries to plan a yearly trip abroad. She also loves to cook and bake, and--to the benefit of her friends--she loves to share. She also enjoys ceramics and being creative with her hands. She has a weakness for good (maybe bad) TV shows; she's up-to-date on over 25 current shows, and no, that wasn't a joke.
And it goes without saying, she loves books--they're like old and dear friends who have always been there to make her laugh and make her cry.
The one thing she wishes she had more of, is time.

ReplyDeleteI am a little sad Emma and Brandon's romantic journey had ended, however I know this wasn't going to be your last book and that's why I'm not a blubbering sad mess.
