When strange things start to happen to Gwen, she is thrust into a magickal new realm called Hallows Haven. Leaving the ordinary behind, she discovers that she can do things beyond her wildest dreams. As Hallows Haven begins to feel more like home, Gwen wonders how she ever felt satisfied with everyday life in Michigan.

Too late, Gwen realizes that even in this realm full of light and magick, danger lurks. Someone close to her is not what he seems and someone will do anything to draw her out of Hallows Haven and into the darkness. Even worse, some of that darkness may already exist within her, threatening her chance to make Hallows Haven her permanent home.
Have Gwen's loved ones continued to keep dangerous secrets? Can Gwen resist the call of darkness?

Review:

We start off with 16 year old Gwen who is having these strange feelings and dreams. She went from being this normal teenager in high school to being thrust into a whole other world. She is not only learning more about her family, but the secrets that were kept from her all her life. Gwen has lived with her grandparents since she was two and has no memory of her parents. The only truth Gwen has ever know is what they have told her. But soon she learns of the lies and begins to wonder what else is being hidden from her.

What happens when everything you know is gone? Gwen is trying to find herself when she is thrown into a world she never knew existed. When she is finally becoming comfortable with her new life a bombshell is dropped and she doesn't know what to believe. Do you trust your heart or head?

Now I am all about the HOTT reads, but I love me some YA paranormal too! I needed a little break from the steam because they were all starting to seem the same. This was a nice refreshing break with a bad boy, a good boy, the evil girl, the best friend, and of course Gwen! Hallows Haven was so original and I couldn't put it down! It was soooo good and you find yourself falling in love with the characters. And if you're like me you try to talk some sense into them! I really wanted to shake the crap out of Gwen sometimes.

You get thrust into the story pretty quick and its paced really smooth throughout, youre not getting bored between excitement. I was so engrossed I couldn't believe it was over when it was! I kept trying to flip the page on my kindle screaming NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!! I couldn't believe it was over and I have to wait! I kinda knew something was going to happen because the book screamed it at me, but it still shocked me!

Rating: 4 stars

*** I was provided an ARC in exchange for an honest review ***

Cheers,
Erika
