Glass Hearts by Lisa De Jong Book Review

Blurb

Sequel to Plastic Hearts...
Can a relationship survive on love alone? Is love truly enough?

Dane and Alex’s relationship has never been easy, but now they have a fresh start without the pressures of Alex’s family. Together they try to move forward while continuing to struggle with a past that they can’t seem to escape.

Sometimes no matter how hard we try to make things work, love isn’t enough.

Sometimes even after a broken heart is mended, cracks remain, and the same doubts and insecurities that once yanked us apart seep in.

Can true love hold Dane and Alex together or will their hearts completely shatter like glass?

Sometimes the worst events in life propel us to something better....it worked for me. -Alex

Dane oh Dane!! It slipped my mind briefly how much I love this man. Needless to say I was long over due for a dose of mr. Dane wright. This book picks up right were book one ended. Alex taking a chance and begging for Danes forgiveness. She has left her life of  privilege and is starting over with Dane.  Mrs. Dejong was awesome enough to give her readers the continuation of this love story from Alex and Danes POV.

The continuation of their story was one of GROWTH plain and simple.....growth together and individually. Their story could only be described as beautifully heart breaking. Alex is learning to fend for herself and not be dependent. While Dane is determined to give Alex all she wants and is use to having.

Ofcourse we know no relationship is perfect and theirs was continuously rocked to the core. The skeletons of their past  always found a way to surface.  Their love was tested to great lengths but it was bitter sweet in the end to see their love for each other was strong enough to prevail.

I fell in love with Dane even more in this book. He is a man that any woman would be truly proud of. His story is unforgettable and he's pretty freaking amazing. Alex grew a lot in this book. She went from a naive little girl to a strong/mature woman.

I love this series!  We even got glimpses into the lives of some of the secondary characters. Honestly my  heart broke for jade and Gwen. Im going to need see how their stories play out. It should be intresting to say the least. Great job Mrs. dejong!

Cheers,
