Zane by Nicole Edwards Book Review

Goodreads Description:

Vanessa Carmichael will never forget that horrible day for as long as she lives. With Zane fully on the mend from the brutal attack he suffered right in her very own yard, she knows she should be grateful, which she is. She also knows that walking away from Zane might be the only way to keep him safe. Despite her denial, V knows she can’t trust her own heart, especially when it comes to the youngest Walker brother, but he’s not the kind of man who will walk away when there is something he wants. He wants her even if it isn’t safe for him, and she’s not sure she is strong enough to walk away.

Zane Walker might have been brutally attacked and after months in the hospital, walked away with his life spared, but now that he’s out of the hospital, he has only one goal in mind. Getting the girl. From the first time he kissed her, Zane knew V was the one for him. He also knew that getting her wasn’t going to be as easy as he hoped. She’s stubborn and the walls she has erected around her heart are nearly impenetrable. However, there’s one thing about Zane – he never gives up. And he’s not about to start now.

Can V learn to open her heart to the one man who is desperate to get past those walls she has erected, or will she walk away to protect him? How long will Zane allow her to deny what he knows is growing between them? Or is the only option to obscure the underlying emotions with spine tingling lust?

When V and Zane come together, smoke detectors go on the fritz, but when they bring Zane’s best friend Beau into the mix, extra fire extinguishers are needed.

Book Review:
If you haven't read book 1 stop reading NOW!!!

Have you ever read a book that gave you a "mindgasm" (yes I really just used that word)? Well Nicole Edwards completely left me mindgasmed out with this entire series so far. By the end of this book I was literally sitting on my couch thinking WTH did that just really happen! If I thought book 1 was awesome, Zane was off the charts hot, sexy, and drama filled to the core.

This book picks up where book one ended. Zane has been brutally beaten and is fighting for his life. If there is one thing I remember well from book one its don't F with a walker man. There will be consequences  and repercussions. Oh boy were there ever!

Zane like the rest of his siblings was pure 100 percent alpha male. He oozed dominance and sex appeal, cowboy style. Zane and V's relationship after his incident takes a crucial turn and not necessarily in the right direction. V is haunted by her past. All her life she had tried to ignore the comments of being the daughter of the town whore/gold digger. Believing her past reputation is what caused Zane to almost loose his life, she runs away from the man who has made her feel things she thought were locked away. Well what we do no is these walker boys can be pushy!

Zane and V's relationship throughout this book was bittersweet. They both were hurting and searching for the one thing that would fill the void they had. The journey of their epiphany of love was a sexy as hell one.  Throw in a Bi sexual BFF to the mix and we have one serious party (fanning self moment).

While this was Zane and V's story mrs. Walker once again gave us glimpses of the other walker brothers. Let me just say I had so many WTH moments in this book concerning these brothers it was unreal. I think I must have screamed out loud "shut the front door" so many times I lost count. Uggggh there's so much I want to talk to you guys about... Like "WTH Travis really? Or  Seriously gage, did you really say/do that? Or Shut the front door really beau?" Ok ok   For the  sake of not giving anything away I'm stopping.

I loved this book. I'm going to say its my favorite so far In the series. Mrs. Edwards gave us great sex as usual, threesomes, some male/male interaction, fight scenes, and even club scenes. Just by reading the club scenes I'm read for this baby to OPEN its doors. I need book 3 ASAP!  Trust me people the biggest WTH/Shut the front door moment was the ending. Bring on Travis!!!

Great job mrs. Edwards you are officially queen of the sex gods!

Book rating: A/5 stars

Cheers,
Dr. Books
