Rush by Maya Banks BOOK REVIEW

Amazon Description

Gabe, Jace, and Ash: three of the wealthiest, most powerful men in the country. They’re accustomed to getting anything they want. Anything at all. For Gabe, it’s making one particular fantasy come true with a woman who was forbidden fruit. Now she’s ripe for the picking...

When Gabe Hamilton saw Mia Crestwell walk into the ballroom for his hotel’s grand opening, he knew he was going to hell for what he had planned. After all, Mia is his best friend’s little sister. Except she’s not so little anymore. And Gabe has waited a long time to act on his desires.

Gabe has starred in Mia’s fantasies more than once, ever since she was a teenager with a huge crush on her brother’s best friend. So what if Gabe’s fourteen years older? Mia knows he’s way out of her league, but her attraction has only grown stronger with time. She’s an adult now, and there’s no reason not to act on her most secret desires.

As Gabe pulls her into his provocative world, she realizes there’s a lot she doesn’t know about him or how exacting his demands can be. Their relationship is intense and obsessive, but as they cross the line from secret sexual odyssey to something deeper, their affair runs the risk of being exposed—and vulnerable to a betrayal far more intimate than either expected.

Book Review:
When I was looking for a hot read to give me the fifty shades vibe, a few followers recommended Rush. This is my first read by Mrs. Banks, and to my followers that recommended this one I LOVE YOU! This book had not one but three BFF alpha males and add hot/steamy to the mix (sigh). This is GABE and Mia's story.  GABE is a wealthy, young, powerful, and hot businessman/ DOM. He also in this book can be described as an A-hole on probably more than one occasion. His Two BFF's are just as hot, young, powerful and oh ya into threesomes.  Let’s just say Ash and Jace's characters I loved. They were fun, outgoing, and protective when it came to living life, business, and  Mia.

Now Mia is Jace's little sister. Although she's not quite so little anymore, she had grown into a beautiful young woman. Trust me despite her self esteem issues in the book (which drove me crazy), she was defiantly noticed by the opposite sex. Mia has been uncertain what direction she should go in her life career wise (yup not using the college degree). The one thing in her life she knows for certain is she has been in LOVE with her brother’s best friend GABE since she was a younger. Well little does Mia know Gabe has had his eye on her for years, and his want has increased since she became of legal age ( yup there’s a fourteen year age difference). It's amazing what a sexy dress and the attention of other men can do to a woman's advantage (smh MEN). Well a night that started as a way to surprise her brother, ended up being the start to Mia's greatest fantasy, a chance with Gabe. Let the Dom/Submissive Love story begin! The chemistry between Mia/GABE was intense (the start of plenty fanning myself moments).

Well as the book plays out, Mia is determined to be a part of Gabe’s life, and show him she's a women that's worth the RISK (oh ya she's not a little girl anymore). So she takes him up on his offers:
1. To be his personal assistant
2. To be his submissive (yup contract requiring a signature and all)

Let me explain what I mean by RISK….. Mia/GABE are both aware they are playing with fire and walking a fine line. I mean what would Jace think and do when if he finds out?

At moments in this book I loved Mia/Gabe’s relationship and at others I hated it. Both of their characters I had a love/hate relationship for in this book. Mia in the beginning was so determined to please GABE she disregarded her own feelings. However, in the end she showed strength (I love a woman that doesn’t take crap, fist pumps). GABE as I stated before could be an A-hole at times and gentle/caring at others. My heart actually broke for him because he was letting his past relationship dictate his life. Needless to say this was not good for his and Mia's relationship (Man his ex was a real piece of work).  I mean some men just need a good kick in the butt before they see what's right in front of them (geez men).

I loved this book. It was Hot, Sexy and kept me wanting more. Mia and Gabe’s love story was a rocky/messy one down to the bitter end (I loved every minute of it!). The characters in this book meshed/followed so well together. I can’t wait to read Ash and Jace’s Story! Ill end this review with a few of my favorite quotes:
“She touched a part of him he’d thought was inaccessible. A part that had been jealously guarded for years. And she’d gotten there with no effort whatsoever. She’d walked into his life and heart like she belonged. “–Gabe

“You’re worth everything. I’d die for you. I’d sure as hell go to jail to prevent some asshole from hurting you.”-Gabe

Great Job Mrs. Banks! I eagerly await MORE!
Book Rating: A/4.5 stars
Cheers,
