Book Review

Over the past few days people have asked me, how I liked this book?  Words like, beautiful, sweet, and unique come to mind to describe this one. This was my first book by Mrs. Dee and I LOVED IT! Not going to lie the blurb on amazon kind of intrigued me/threw me off at the same time.TATTOOED MAN, psychic powers, widowed woman, traveling circus/carnivalYa I really didn't know how I was going to feel about this one. Once I started it, I couldn't stop turning the pages.

This is Sarah and Tom’s story. Sarah is a widow who is trying to get her life back on track since her husband died. The day her husbands body was shipped home in a box, a big part of her died also (heart wrenching). Well ask yourself were would any of us be with out crazy/butting in best friends that come in to save the day (or so in there minds they think)? One night Sarah’s best friend stages an intervention, and drags her to the traveling circus/carnival in town. Thinking this night couldn't end soon enough, she sees the blue eyed/tattooed man behind the glass. I don’t know what it is but its always in the EYES, lol! As other spectators stare and criticize him, Sarah sees nothing but a beautiful lost soul! Leaving the circus with the tattooed/blue eyed man on her mind and in her dreams, she wakes the next morning to find him asleep hiding in her Hay loft.WAIT, IS this FATE???

Let’s talk about TOM a little. When I first started this book the idea of a completely tattooed man, I mean literally from head to toe had me thinking ROCK STAR Personality. I couldn't have been more wrong. Tom’s character I fell in love with from the beginning. The way Mrs. Dee described the art of his body and his personality in this book made him BEAUTIFUL inside and out. Tom was broken and had been abused his whole life by the only family he had ever known.
As I kept reading this book, I soon realized TOM/Sarah were searching/needing the same thing: A FAMILY!

Tom and Sarah’s journey together in this book was a BEAUTIFUL one.The chemistry between these two was great. They literally found themselves in each other. But of course no LOVE story is ever that simple.. Faced with the negative judgment/reactions of the towns people, Sarah fought to keep the new found happiness she finally got back in her life. Despite the mean/hateful remarks and destruction of property, (burning down a barn and killing innocent animals) TOM/SARAH always were the bigger people even in the event of a crisis (a missing little girl).

Later in the story we find out that Tom’s mother had psychic abilities, and he inherited them as well. I'm going to stop right here to just say, I was fuming by this point at the simple minded people of the town. I realize this story takes place in the late 1940’s when racism/anything different was alive and well. BUT seriously, the man saved a little girls life and he still is considered an OUTCAST (WTH!!!).

As I said earlier despite the rocky path ahead of them, Sarah/Tom fight to the bitter end for there new found happiness with each other. And Yup I mean they literally had to fight a crazy/madman/ traveling circus owner for there lives. I LOVED this book. As the end approached my emotions were everywhere. The ending was one of my favorite parts of this book. While I did love the book, I wished I would have got to see a little more of Tom/Sarah’s future. As I made it to the end of the last chapter, I was literally screaming from my couch, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO there’s no epilogue!!!!!!!!!!

Great job Mrs. Dee. I can’t wait to read more of your work!! FINDING HOME has already been added to my TBR LIBRARY, lol!

Book Rating: A/4.5 stars

Cheers,
