Review:This is book 2, but can be read as a standalone. I did not read book one prior to this and had no trouble keeping up with the story. However, after reading this I will be going back to read book 1, which is a novella, soon!!!!
I was pretty unsure about this book from the title. I like the synopsis and figured it was worth a try.
And.... I LOVED IT!
I thought it was going to be the typical virgin falls for guy and gives it up and yada ya... She was definitely not a virgin, as we learn pretty quick, but she also doesn't fawn over this guy. She is strong and independent and determined to make her way and on her own. She is so happy that she gets the job and her and her friends go out to celebrate, which leads to a steamy encounter that she cannot forget! She never even gets his name...
But of course we know the plot must thicken, so when she goes to meet the author whom she will be assisting, she is shocked to see who HE is! Not only is he the guy she can't get out of her head, but he is also the ass she was warned about when she accepted the job.
Piper give Tate a run for his money! She does what she is asked, but she also dishes it as much as he does. She is witty and fun and doesn't give in easy! BUT.... No matter how hard she tries, she cannot get him out of her mind. They are both so stubborn and miscommunication between them causes some HUGE things to take place. At some point though, enough has to be enough and Piper breaks. Can they get over the past enough to see what they have?
Such a fun and hot story! They seriously had me wanting to smack them upside the head. I read this one pretty quick and just could not put it down no matter how hard my eyelids protested! Of course I had to run on 3 hours of sleep the next day.
