The Fab Life by Mercy Amare Blog Tour and Giveaway!

Blurb

It’s the life I was born to live: billionaire’s daughters, living amongst the rich & famous. But my mom kept me a secret from my dad. Until now.

I am so out of my league. Fancy parties, expensive cars, and a private school for the elite… It sounds like a dream. But everything is not as perfect as it seems on the outside. Here, the secrets are dirty, and thelies comes easy.

Welcome to my fab life.

Review:

As you know, I am a fan of Mercy's Faded series. This book however is a whole other story! I loved it! I thought it was going to be more of a teen drama, but it ended up being so much more. I knew Mercy wouldn't disappoint! It is more of an NA series with suspense.

So we start off with Khianna moving from St. Louis to California with her dad, who she JUST met!!! He is a billionaire and her mom kept her a secret from him. Well mom could now be keeping one of her own. Khianna now has to start her senior year not only being the new girl, but into a life that is so far from who she is. She tries to fit in while still being her. She is a spunky girl who can't be pushed around and I love it! First impression are always the best and she makes sure her step-mom knows she is not her personal barbie.

You become consumed by this book from the beginning! Khianna is not only a virgin but has also never been kissed. I know some think the whole virgin thing is played out, BUT this is so different from others! She doesn't drop her panties for the first guy that looks her way, she makes them work for it!

Her and Ty (another one of the rich kids in her school) get close and fast! She plans on sleeping with him 3 months in at homecoming, but when do things ever go according to planned?

I wasn't sure where the story was going to go or end, but that made it that much better! The ending will be shocking! I knew something was going to happen, but I didn't expect where it goes. The ending isn't a MAJOR cliffhanger, but it will leave you with lots of questions. I was content with the ending though, its not in the middle of a major scene and you are holding your breath, but just enough to eagerly await the next book in the series!

You learn a lot about Khianna and her family throughout the book and some back-stories of other characters as well. I honestly don't know what direction the next books in the series will go and I really love that feeling! I don't like to be able to predict what will happen next. I hope we get to learn more about Toby and Ty's pasts.

I have some suspicions about a certain character that makes a bigger appearance towards the end... He is in the story from the beginning, but more so at the end. I have a feeling there is SO much more to his story and as much as I loved him and want his HEA, I also think he might be apart of it all. You'll understand once you read, I don't want to spoil too much! But I would like to get your takes in the comments below once you do; see if anyone gets the same feeling I do! I have no doubt that you will enjoy this book, it has everything; mystery suspense, lust, and even sex!

Excerpt:

“You’re so hot, and sexy. I just… I want to lick you.”

I have no idea why, but I laugh. Hard. “You want to lick me?”

“Yeah!” Ty nods. “Can I?”

“Where?”

“Right here,” he answers, motioning around us. “I don’t care who sees.”

I laugh. “No. Where would you lick me at? Like on my body.”

Ty smiles. “Anywhere you want.”

Hmm… I’m liking this. “How about everywhere.”

Ty looks at me for a second. It’s then that I notice his eyes are glazed over. He gets a very serious look. “Have you been drinking?”

I nod, and put my fingers an inch apart. “Just alittle bit. Like half a cup. It was so gross, but I can’t feel my fingers.” I laugh, and poke his chest. “Can you feel that? I so can’t feel it.”

“What did you drink?”

I think for a second. Crap. What did Jason call it? “T… Tequila! That’s it! It burned my throat.”

“Who gave you tequila?”

“Jason.” The ground starts moving beneath me, and I grab onto Ty’s arm. “How is the sand doing that?” I look up to see it’s not just the ground. The palm trees are moving too. “Whoa.”

“Have you ate dinner yet?”

I shake my head, and feel dizzy from the sensation. Ty grabs me to keep me from falling over. “Oops,” I laugh again. “I think… maybe… I’ve had just a little too much tequila.”

Ty puts his arm around my waist, and I lean into him as we walk.

“You smell so good.” I sniff his chest. “Is it weird that I’m smelling you?”

“I am going to feed you, put you to bed, and then kill Jason,” Ty says.

“Awe,” I pout. “But I don’t want to go to bed.”

Ty pulls me inside the house, and we go to the kitchen. He hands me a slice of pizza. “Eat.” I take the slice from him and take a bite. He grabs a bottle of water from the fridge, and takes the lid off. “Drink.” I take a sip.

“I feel sick.” I put down the pizza. “I don’t want anymore food.”

“If you don’t eat, you will get a lot more sick,” Ty explains. He looks very angry. “I am going to fucking hurt him. I can’t believe he gave you so much tequila.”

I put my hand on Ty’s face. “You know what I like about you? Your lips. They’re so soft. And they taste so good. We should kiss more.”

Ty grins. “Oh, should we?”

I nod. “Yep!” I put my head on his chest, and he puts his arms around me. “I like it when you hold me, too. It’s the best.”

“I think I kind of like you like this.”

I giggle. Why can’t I stop laughing. “I don’t think I can feel my cheeks.” I touch my cheek, and feel nothing. The room starts spinning even faster. I’m about to fall when Ty scoops me into his arms.

Zeus by Kamery Solomon Review and Giveaway

BLURB:

Vegas is not where Karly had imagined herself to be at this point in her life.She was supposed to be living in California, soaking up the sun and enjoying the life of an artist. Instead, she's just moving out of her parent's house and going to a school that could loosely be called her second choice. When she meets Zeus Drakos, owner of the new hit casino and resort in town, he seems just like every other jerk guy out there. How was she supposed to know who he really was?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Review:
I love Greek Mythology! Throw some romance in the mix and I'm swooning! Just the thought of not only having a smoking hott man, but one of power and legend just makes me swoon! So this is a YA read and our leading lady is a virgin. This is not because she didn't find the right person and then bends right over for him, no, she has values and wants to wait until marriage.
Karly moves to Vegas against her strict parents wishes. They even showed her videos of the worst things that could happen there to try and sway her. But since Karly didn't get into her school of choice and did her first 2 years at a local college, she wants to break free and finish her Art degree in Vegas.
Zeus has been banished from Mount Olympus for breaking his vow to Hera. He must be gone for at least 9 years, but must also fall in love and they love him back for him in order for him to be able to return.
I've gotta say that the meeting between Karly and Zeus for the first time was one of the best ever, because it made so much more sense than a girl giving up right there after being with no one before. Zeus gets shut down and hard! He ends up showing up to apologize but Karly is not easily won. Boy did she make him sweat! Zeus has to jump through hoops for her to agree to go out with him and I SO wish I could've been in that art class! He let the air out of her tires just so she would need him to drive her! The back and forth was funny between them, and it was one of the more realistic situations that I've read, aside from him being a god of course!
Slowly and with LOTS of hiccups they start getting closer. That is until Karly overhears a conversation and learns of all the lies and feels betrayed. Zeus tells her who he is and of course she thinks he's a quack! After running away things happen to make her see things for what they are. I don't want to give too much away, but this was a great read and not too long, about 220 pages. AND there is NO cliffhanger! Book 2 in The God Chronicles comes out August 4th and is the book of Poseidon. I can't wait to share my review of that one too!
Waiting on the sidelines by Ginger Scott Book Review
Nolan Lennox had things figured out. Named after a baseball legend, she enjoyed being the Tomboy, her closet filled with her brother’s hand-me-downs, cut-off jeans and soccer shorts. But when her first trip to high school results in a broken heart from the first boy to ever make her heart flutter and cruel words from an older girl she once thought a family friend, Nolan starts to question the very person she thought she was and wonders if her humble upbringing can compete with the afforded luxuries of her privileged peers.
Throughout the next four years, Nolan struggles to maintain herself throughout her path of discovery, learning just how cruel teenagers can be through the pressures of underage drinking, sexuality and class. And despite how life seems to continue to work against her, she still manages to listen to her heart, falling deeper and deeper for the guy the entire town adores, even if he only sees her as a friend. Can Nolan strike a compromise between her own integrity and the boy she loves? And can she make him notice her before it’s too late?
Reed Johnson came to Coolidge High School with a lot of fanfare. The son of a hometown football legend and the brother of a local football hero, Reed wore all the pressures of carrying a town without hope into the spotlight. Thankfully, he had the talent to back it up. But when he meets a girl who makes him think twice about exactly what being a hero means, he starts to wonder if following in his brother’s footsteps might be all wrong.
Nolan Lennox was everything that was opposite of expected. She didn’t flirt, she didn’t drink and she didn’t sleep around. Nothing about her was easy, but something about her made Reed want to try harder. Though she didn’t look the part, she seemed to be spending a lot of time in Reed’s thoughts, and he wondered if she could be the one who made it all worthwhile. But could Reed handle letting her down? And would breaking her heart break him beyond repair?
Waiting on the Sidelines explores young love to its fullest, exposing how real young heartbreak and passion is and how important it is to discover yourself and hold onto your own identity. The story follows two young characters as they deal with mature situations, including the prevalence of bullying and promiscuity in today’s high school setting. Ultimately, Waiting on the Sidelines is a story of hope, honesty and those powerful, first true loves—the ones worth holding onto at any cost.
Ginger Scott is a writer and journalist from Peoria, Arizona. Her book, "Waiting on the Sidelines," is a coming-of-age love story that explores the real heartbreak we all feel as we become adults throughout our high school years. The story follows two characters, Nolan (a Tomboy with a baseball player's name) and Reed (the quarterback she wishes would notice her) as they struggle with peer-pressure, underage drinking, bullying and finding a balance between what your heart wants and what society says you should want -- even if you aren't ready. You can read her book now in Amazon's kindle store.
Scott has been writing and editing for newspapers, magazines and blogs for more than 15 years. She has told the stories of Olympians, politicians, actors, scientists, cowboys, criminals and towns. For more on her and her work, visit her website at http://www.littlemisswrite.com
A book you will hate to love and love to hate.  Trust me when I tell you that you will do just that and hate every character, root for the underdog, cry laugh, scream and want to reach into the pages and strangle them as well.
What would high school be without your first love, heartache, pain and disappointment?  Ask Nolan "Noles" and Reed, they'll tell you all about it, accepting blame, feeling guilt for what life brings them and those around.  A typical boy facing or running head on into his hormones, Tatum a bully who will do whatever it takes to exact herself on Noles, who is her nemesis when it comes to Reed.  The town beauty and flirt, she can have any boy, but because of her hatred towards Noles she sticks her claws into Reed who is oblivious to what she is really up to, the harm and hurt she causes on the one female that loves him with all her heart and soul.  You'll endure Noles' pain, cry her tears with her, cheer her on and want to kick her at times as well.
Four years of ups and downs, break ups, make up and moving on.  Or do they?
I never knew which way this one was going to go and as predictable as this story seems to be, it is anything but.
Ginger Scott leaves you hanging on to your seats and brings out emotions imaginable.
Cheers,
Steph
LOSING ME, FINDING YOU (BOOK 1) EXCERPT:
“Take off your pants,” he says simply and that's it.  I turn around and stare at him, noticing that his eyes are like fire, waiting to wash over me and burn me to ash.
“What?”  Austin grins and pulls out a cigarette, sticking it between his lips and taking off his vest.  He tosses it onto the gravel by the side of the road like we're not out in the middle of the country, like we're right back in that hotel room together with all the privacy in the world.
“Take 'em off.  This is your next lesson.  If you don't wear a skirt, be prepared to take off your pants.  Come on, sugar, let's get to it.  We've gotta hurry before somebody drives by and sees us.”
“You're serious?” I ask him, getting chills and a gut wrenching belly ache.  Oh God, yes.  I can't believe I waited twenty-one years for this feeling.  It's incredible.
“As a heart attack,” Austin says, taking a drag on his cigarette and tossing it to the ground, so he can smash it under his boot.  I nibble my lip for a moment and then start to unbutton my jeans.  Austin's eyes follow the motion and narrow when I pause with the zipper halfway down.
“Take off your shirt,” I command him.  I want to see what's under there.  Three times we've had sex and not once have I gotten to see his chest and belly.  He grins at me and obliges, tearing the black fabric off and tossing it down alongside his vest.
Austin is … Well, GodAustin is ripped.  He's tight and muscular and I can see every muscle in his belly as clear as day.  His skin stretches hot and slick over the firmness of his chest and stomach, dipping into his pants with a sprinkle of sandy hair.  Above his pecs, he's got another skull tattoo surrounded by roses and on either side, a gun pointing inwards.  Sweat glides across the colorful piece of art and gets caught between his muscles, sliding down and soaking into the waistband of his jeans.
I practically tear my boots and pants off in my frenzy to touch him.  I can't wait.
“Panties,” he commands me, and I pause.  Being pants-less in the middle of the road is one thing, but being pantie-less is quite another altogether.
“Austin … ”  He grins at me and reaches down, unzipping his own pants.  My gaze follows his hands involuntarily, mesmerizing me.
“Better hurry before somebody comes along and we get interrupted.”
I swallow and look around, listening for the rumble of cars in the distance and hear nothing except for the droning of the cicadas.  I drop my panties to my feet before I can stop myself and kick them next to my jeans.
“Now, get on the fucking bike,” Austin leans back and flashes me his cock, hard and ready and waiting.  I move forward and climb on so that I'm facing him, trying to move slowly so that I don't seem too eager.  Truth is, I am eager, almost desperate for it.  Three days ago, I was a virgin reading about my favorite heroines being banged in black and white.  Today, I am the heroine, and I can't wait for my turn.  “Now, look at you,” Austin says, voice dropping into this lengthy Southern drawl where every fuckingsyllable is a nightmare of sexual tension, bleeding across my body and making me crazy for it.
LOVING ME, TRUSTING YOU (BOOK 2) EXCERPT:
“What in the holy hell is wrong with that woman?” Austin asks, shading his eyes against the harsh burn of the sun.  My helmet's still on, and I'm peering out the visor at the remnants of Mireya Sawyer's soul.  They're scattered across the yellow desert for all of Triple M to see, laid bare and sizzling hot.  Even if I didn't know her as well as I do, I could see that she's bleeding inside, hurtin' so hard she can't breathe.  My first instinct is to cross the dry ground that separates us and take her into my arms, whisper into her hair and tell her that everyone's going to be okay, that I'll take care of her forever.
She'd probably kick me in the fucking nuts.
A smile teases the edge of my lips as I rub at the broken heart tattoo on my shoulder.  Austin isn't happy about the sudden stop, but I don't mind.  I'd do anything forMireya Sawyer.  Even wait around for ten plus friggin' years while she pined for my best friend.
“Should I go talk to her?” Amy Cross asks, sneaking up between Austin and me, and curling her delicate fingers around his arm.  Brunette hair whips around her face, hiding the expression of concern that's there, genuine and sympathetic.  She's a miracle that, girl.  The one person on this earth that I think is capable of handling Austin.  She's calm, collected, and she don't hold no fucking grudge against Mireya.  I feel good knowing she's Austin's soul mate.  I just hope he's aware of how lucky he is.
“Nah,” I say, watching through the visor, waiting with my breath caught in my chest for that day that might never come, for the day that Mireya Sawyer looks me in the eyes and tells me she loves me right back.  I've told her before.  Just once.  It didn't go over so well.  I plan on doing it again, but I don't know when.  If I have to, I'll wait another ten years.  I'd rather not, thank you very much, but I will.  I'd wait forever if I had to.
I glance over at Beck who's busy checking out Amy's ass.  When Austin sees, he growls low in his throat and our friend backs off, running his hand through his red hair and chuckling.  Dumb as a Goddamn doornail, but ten times tougher.  I really believe that Beck could take out twenty men by himself.  Wouldn't surprise me a bit.
“She's just … dealing with some old shit,” I say as Austin sighs and glances back at the group behind us.  Triple M.  Our family.  Our friends.  The people we'd do anything for, that would do anything for us.  It's a confusing time right now, but they're all still here and they're not asking questions.  I think it's because we all knew deep down that Kent Diamond was a Goddamn lunatic.  Well, okay, for me it wasn't even deep down, but thing is, he did a lot of good for us all, rescued us when nobody else was there, gave us a home and a family.  He might've been an asshole, and a backstabber, but he was still the one that gathered us all together, whatever his reasons.
But now he's dead.
Austin didn't bother to check before we left, but I did.  I felt for a pulse, and I gotnothin'.  I don't think Sparks cared either way.  All that mattered to him was Amy, and that was that.  He took Kent out without a second thought.  Guess love will make you do shit like that without thinking.  It's a violently gentle emotion, ain't it?  A contradiction in and of itself.  I know it's been screwing with me forever.  Especially when I saw that stupid bitch, Tray Walker.
Fuck.  I wanted to kill that son of a bitch with my bare hands, feel the life drain out of him while I gazed into his eyes and showed him exactly how I felt about what he did to Mireya.  Stupid motherfucker.  But it wasn't my decision.  It was hers.  Beck gave her the knife, and we walked out.  She had blood on her hands when she came out, but not a lot.  I don't know what happened, and she doesn't want to talk about it with anyone.  Not a single soul.
“We can't sit on the side of the highway all day,” Austin warns, but I'm not surewho he's talking to exactly.  He's in charge now, so he better get used to it.
“Okay, Pres,” I say, lifting up my visor and feeling the burn of the sun on my skin.  “So what do you want to do about it?”  Austin gives me a look, blowing out a rush of air like he isn't quite sure he's ready for all this.  I don't tell him, but to me and Beck,he's always been in charge.  He's the only one we've ever really listened to.
“Give her five minutes,” Amy says, so quiet that I almost don't catch her words.  Austin does though.  And he hangs all over them like a kid on the monkey bars.  Jesus.  This boy is so head over heels, it's hard to look at him.  I hope he realizes it.  “I think she needs this.  If you rush her, she'll hang onto the pain.  Let her go for a minute, please?” Amy asks, pressing a kiss to the leather sleeve of Austin's jacket.  His arm curls around her waist protectively, and his eyes soften a bit.  Jesus.
I turn away.  I can't look at that.  Not right now.  I'm jealous, and I don't want to be.  I just want to be happy.  I just want to be with Mireya Sawyer.
Ghost Diaries (case#2) the haunting of Reginald bonner by Willow Cross Book Review
Ghost Diaries is a series of episodic short stories. This is Case #2 The Haunting of Reginald Bonner.
Could someone experience a haunting and remain completely unaware? In the case of Reginald Bonner, investigator Taija Ford believes she's uncovered evidence revealing just such an event.
Sometimes people don't realize what they have until it's too late, and if they refuse to believe the impossible, they might not comprehend the real danger until death stakes its claim.
*** Warning this is an adult read. ***
Willow Cross resides in Arkansas with her husband, two children still young enough to live at home, an enormous cat named Bitsy, and a scaredy-cat dog named Tank. Her home has been known to host the occasional ghost, and a few of her friends profess to be witches. Although she dearly loves Vampires and Werewolves, they are never invited for dinner.
