Kaleb by Nicole Edwards Book Review & Kaleb Walker Interview

Goodreads Description:

Zoey Stranford might’ve had a crush on the sexy boy next door since middle school, but she’s a woman now, and that crush has turned into a full blown case of lust. So why is it that at twenty nine, her libido decides to ramp into high gear and the only thing she can focus on is the intensely sexy, scorching hot boy next door who is definitely not a boy anymore?

The only problem is that Zoey and Kaleb have been best friends for as long as she can remember. Not to mention, Kaleb and his brothers are working on buying Stranford land to build a new resort, and she’s more than a little hesitant about his intentions.

Kaleb Walker has had his eye on Zoey for close to twenty years, but never before has he considered taking their friendship to the next level, no matter how many fantasies he’s had about her over the years. That doesn’t explain why Kaleb is hell bent on having her – in as many ways as possible.

Kaleb finds himself in a precarious situation. His brothers have nominated him to pursue Zoey’s father about purchasing the land needed to get their new resort off the ground. Finding out that Carl Stranford is on the brink of foreclosure and Zoey might just lose her house and the land, Kaleb now has to convince her to put aside her pride and let him help her.

It doesn’t take long before the flames start burning bright and hot, and the two of them burn up the nights and the days as they explore each other’s forbidden fantasies. But can their friendship survive a business transaction or the new friends with benefits clause? Or will they realize that they’ve been overlooking something much deeper that’s been right in front of them all along?

Kaleb Walker Interview:

Thanks Kaleb for joining us today. Ummm Smh. I can’t believe I have one of the infamous Walker brothers in my presence (wink)! If I’m ogling you throughout this interview please pay me know mind.
Again, thanks for taking the time to let our readers get to know the real Kaleb Walker. Well let's jump right in.

1.  Can you please give us a little introduction about yourself? Myself?

Let’s see. Depending on who you ask, I’m a nice guy. And for the record, if they say I’m not, they’re lying. *smiles* I was born and raised in Coyote Ridge. I’ve got six brothers. I’m thirty-two years old, Aries and enjoy moonlit walks on the beach. Ok, no. No, I don’t enjoy walking anywhere. *laughs*

2. People usually ask was it LOVE at first sight... I'm just going to ask based on you history with Zoey when did you know you loved her?
Well, I doubt it was love at first sight because I’ve known Zoey most of my life and considering we were just kids, I didn’t even know what love was back then. Unless, of course, you consider pulling pigtails and chasing girls around the playground love at first sight. I did, however, know that I loved her early on. We’ve been friends, but until recently, that’s all it was. I’ve always cared about her. I mean, seriously, I can’t remember a time when I didn’t. Although, now things are a little different. She’s my everything now.

3. If the book Kaleb was made into a movie who would you want to cast as the characters? AND you can’t include yourself lover boy.... A movie?

Wow. Would they even be able to show that in theaters? *grins slyly* I’m not big on movie actors, but maybe if you mixed George Clooney, Brad Pitt and Matt Damon together, you might get someone worthy of my boyish charm.

4.           If you had 3 words to describe Zoey, what would you say?
Sexy. As. Hell. Now, if you wanted three independent words, I’d go for sexy, sweet, and stunning.

5. We know the Walker boys are no strangers to the lime light, so what has been the craziest story/memory you can share with us concerning the Walker brothers?

When it comes to stories, I’d have to say that Sawyer probably has the most. Or at least the most infamous stories to tell. He’s wild and I do my best not to pay attention to what he’s getting himself into. Then again, you’ve got the twins and I’ve heard some interesting things about them. Honestly, I think all of our stories are crazy, especially if I were to get into those when we were kids.

6. What or who is the most precious thing in your life (wink)?

I can easily say that Zoey is the most precious thing in my life. She’s changed me in so many ways. At the risk of being utterly and sickeningly romantic, she’s my heart.

7. What song best describes your relationship with Zoey?

"Cowboys And Angels"
by Dustin Lynch

There's a want and there's a need
There's a history between
Girls like her and guys like me
Cowboys and angels
I've got boots and she's got wings
I'm hell on wheels and she's heavenly
I'd die for her and she lives for me
Cowboys and angels

[Chorus]
We ride side by side
A cloud of dust, a ray of light
My touch is her temptation
Her kiss is my salvation
She's sweet, I'm wild, we're dangerous
Cowboys and angels

I'm not sure why her path crossed mine
Accident or grand design
Maybe God just kinda likes
Cowboys and angels

[Chorus]
We ride side by side
A cloud of dust, a ray of light
My touch is her temptation
Her kiss is my salvation
She's sweet, I'm wild, we're dangerous
Cowboys and angels

There's a want and there's a need
There's a history between
Girls like you and guys like me
Cowboys and angels

8.What can we expect next from the Walker brothers, are you currently working on anything new?

Well, my brothers and I are running full steam ahead on Alluring Indulgence Resort. We’re going to rock this sleepy little town. And for now, that’s all I’ve been given clearance to divulge.

OK now were going to have a little more fun......... It’s quick draw time.

1. Vanilla or kinky sex? Kinky
2. Favorite book? Anything with “Kama Sutra” in the title
3. Favorite wine? Wine? Sorry, but I’m a whiskey or beer kinda guy
4. Chocolate syrup or whipped cream? You mean you can actually use them separately?
5. Favorite quote? "You know you're in love when you can't fall asleep because reality is finally better than your dreams." ~Dr. Seuss

Book Review:

This was my first book by Nicole Edwards and it sure as heck won't be my last. I devoured this book. This is Kaleb and zoey's story. They have been BFF's since they were children. Now as adults they find themselves face to face with feelings they have tried to suppress/ignore for so many years. However the dialogue of those surrounding them made this recent enlightenment on their part even more funny. I mean come on of course everyone else noticed before them that they were in love with each other years before they saw it right? Lol

Ok let me slow down a little. This book introduces us to the infamous WALKER brothers. Ladies when I say all 7, yes 7 of these men ooze sexual alpha dominance be ready for plenty of fanning yourself moments. The Walker brothers are not only sexy, hot, wealthy business men but they also are LOYAL. Loyal to one another and the loved ones/friends they hold dear. Yup their bada** and you don't want to cross them, lol.

Well faced with these new emotions and feelings toward one another, the question arises where do kaleb/zoey Go from here? Friends with benefits or something more long term? The chemistry between them is off the charts. While they explore their new found relationship secrets are uncovered (always juicy drama) that could damage not only their new found love but also their friendship. I loved both kaleb and zoey's characters. Just when I thought business or drama would find a way to derail them, they fought back. The secondary characters I loved also!
The WALKER brothers are a woman's dream! I loved gage (kalebs BFF) and Vanessa( zoeys bff) as well.

Mrs. Edwards gave the reader a little of everything with this book. Threesomes, drama, new friendships, and new relationships just to name a few things. This book flowed so well. Though this was kaleb and zoey's book the reader got to experience the personalities of the other walker men also. This just made me love the walker boys even more!

Again loved this read. Great job Mrs. Edwards. I can't wait to continue this series!

Book Rating: A/4.5 stars

Cheers,
