This was my first Melissa Foster read and I will be buying more. This is a book you will need time to devote to because you will not be able to put it down! This is a spin off BUT you do not need to have read the others to read this one.
We start by meeting Dex and Sage, who are twin brothers with two completely different lives. This book however is Dex's story with Ellie, the girl who broke his heart when they were younger. After she disappeared 4 years ago, their lives are pushed back together. Ellie has a lot of baggage and the two together have some trust issues.
There will be times you just want to shake some sense into Ellie, but the connection these two have is undeniable. You get to see more into the past so although it frustrating, you can see why they are the way they are. You are full of angst waiting to see where things go and if they will get their HEA. Its a roller-coaster of emotions up until the very end. Definitely recommend this read and can not wait to read more from Melissa Foster!
