Sabrina’s eyes flew open and she quickly found the clock with her sleepy stare. She shot up in bed, holding the luxurious Egyptian cotton sheets up to cover her bare breasts. Her hand yanked through the tangles of her deep brunette waves as she realized she’d overslept. “Shit,” she breathed before bracing herself for the chill her naked body would feel as she left the comfort of the California King.

Near the bedroom door she found her clothes, where she had slipped them off the night before to form a fabric puddle on the floor. Her eyes flicked back to the bed when she heard him grumble. She clasped her hot pink bra and zipped up the black pencil skirt she had shimmied into. An exasperated sigh rolled out of her and she sent out a tiny prayer that no one in the office would notice her wearing the same clothes two days in a row. A walk of shame was one thing, but strolling back in to work in a rumpled version of yesterday’s pristine outfit was a low she never thought she would sink to.

“What’s wrong?” he moaned from inside the mess of blankets and sheets she’d just left. Sabrina took in the sight of him as he sat up and met her gaze. The tanned skin of his defined chest was enough to make her quiver, but the grin he let settle on his lips when he saw her in nothing but her bra and skirt would’ve been the death of her had she not been so rattled by the clock.

“I’m gonna be late,” she replied. She found her V-neck sweater and smoothed it out as best she could. Looking in the mirror above his dresser, she wiped at the flecks of day-old mascara under her eyes and tried to perk up her cheeks with a few pinches. Through the mirror she could see him sitting in bed behind her. He ran a hand over his short-cropped salt-and-pepper hair and his grin turned into an arrogant smirk.

“I think the office can survive the morning without the one-hit wonder. Now get that beautiful ass back in my bed,” he said. Sabrina stopped and caught her own eyes in the mirror for a moment. How had he become so good at backhanding her with ancient history all while thrilling her with sideways compliments?

“I have a meeting with Charles. It’s important.” Her gut fluttered as she pulled her shirt over her head. It was half hangover and half unresolved guilt for not bending to him. He stood up, stretching his arms above his head, and she cursed herself for watching the muscles in his stomach twitch before letting her eyes linger south. He moved to her smoothly and wrapped his arms around her from behind, looking at her through the mirror while pushing his morning erection against the fabric of her skirt. He smelled like sex and cologne and Sabrina hated how badly those two things made her want him.

“Why don’t you just come work for me?” he asked, placing a kiss on the curve of her neck. That would go over well, she thought sardonically.

“I like my job, Beau. It’s not like I’m a secretary or something. I’m head of A and R …” Her voice disintegrated into midair as his kisses trickled down her neck and he began pawing at her sweater, coaxing her to take it off again. Her head swam as Beau’s strong hands slid under her shirt and smoothed over the skin of her abdomen and up to her breasts. A moan was waiting at the back of her throat. All she had to do was let go and submit to him.

Sabrina took a deep breath and stepped toward the dresser, pulling away from Beau. She spun, still barely in his grasp, and looked into his liquid copper eyes. He grinned and stopped his advances.

“I know you’re not a secretary, kid. You’re impressive and that’s why you should be working with me. You know enough about the business to easily transition into management,” he said, slowly drawing her near with his fingertips on her hips. Sabrina let her feet close the space between them. She looked up at him through her dark lashes and felt, as she often did under the weight of his stare, like a teenager. His proposal came as a shock to her. It had been years since he sounded that supportive of her. She couldn’t remember the last time he paid her a compliment that didn’t have to do with her body or how she used it.

“You mean that?” she asked, letting her hands settle on the ridges of his hard stomach. She loved the way her skin contrasted his. He had a naturally dark complexion—she was pretty sure he once said his mother’s parents were Greek—but spending a decent amount of vacation time in Maui was what kept him perfectly bronzed all year long.

His mouth lifted on one corner and his brows knit neatly together. Her eyes scanned his face for some sort of clue. She’d known him since she was seventeen years old but she still couldn’t read him. Maybe his offer was just a joke. Her stomach pitched and she looked at the clock again. Now she was really going to be late.

“Of course I mean it, kid. Go to your meeting and tell Uncle Charlie you’re moving on.” His voice was so smooth and confident. Her heart was pounding in her chest at the idea of working closely with Beau. Was this his version of commitment? Before her mind got any more wrapped up in the details his lips were pressed against hers roughly, melting away all of her thoughts. His tongue brushed against hers and she felt the butterflies in her stomach that had never gone away since the day she met him. Beau disconnected from the heart-stopping kiss easily and made his way to the adjoining bathroom.

Sabrina stood with her eyes shut for a moment, replaying his words in her head, willing herself to take him seriously and, more importantly, to accept his proposition. The sound of the shower woke her from her trance and she took one last look in the mirror. Good enough, she thought. She popped her head in the bathroom and grinned at the sight of his naked body behind the clear glass that had started to fog.

“Should I call you later?” she asked.

“Uh, yeah. If you want. I have a bunch of work to catch up on so…”

A wince flashed across her face at what she’d been expecting all along. The chill. She swallowed hard and told herself not to care, but it was too difficult. He always found a way to stifle whatever feeling he helped to bloom. It was the story of her life, in fact. Once upon a time, he’d been the one to help her flourish but it seemed like he’d spent the last ten years finding little ways to crush her.

“Okay,” she said, trying to hide the shaking in her voice. “I’ll see ya when I see ya.” She tried like hell to sound easygoing but she just ended up feeling like an idiot. Like the kid she knew he thought she was. Still.

“Yeah, see ya, Sabra,” he shouted over the water.

A shudder rolled through her and she wanted to blame it on the hangover.

“That’s not my name,” she muttered as she walked out of the bathroom.

His Muse By Kemmie Michaels Book Blitz and Giveaway

Synopsis:
On vacation in the tropical paradise of St. Lucia...
Martin and Abby never intended to meet anyone while they were away. Circumstance, however, pushes them together in spite of their expectations. With an entire vacation week with nothing to do but spend time together, Martin and Abby forge a connection unlike anything either had felt before. With Abby’s conservative nature and Martin’s refusal to be the player he had once been, the couple keeps themselves physically apart...until they can’t.
They collide into a friction that sparks a blazing need to stay together. Keeping the heat alive from opposite ends of the country, though, may prove too difficult. Distance and circumstance become very ugly words in this couple’s vocabulary.

Excerpt:
“Do I get to see what’s under your robe?” He grinned wickedly as he reached for the belt.

She giggled and turned away. “Not yet! I have to finish my wine first. You should have thought of that before you poured me a glass,” she said laughing wickedly at the look on his face.

Martin groaned and dropped his head back on the couch, but then he got an ornery look on his face. He sat up and guzzled the last of his wine. He took her glass from her and tipped back the remainder of hers, too, sounding a refreshed “ahh” through his smile.

“Hey!” she said, laughing with him.

“Ok. Wine’s not an issue,” he grinned at her. “Show me.”

Still laughing a bit, she stood up and walked across the room from him. He stayed in his spot on the couch and waited for her to drop the robe. Like the seductress that she was, she stood there for a long moment, her makeup subtle-sexy and her beautiful auburn hair in a messy, wavy up-sweep.

She did nothing but look at him with heated eyes. She too-slowly reached for the belt and then stopped. She toyed with the ends of the terry-cloth rope that held the fabric closed around her.

“You know you’re killing me over here, right?” he asked, loving her playful side.

“Well, we can’t have that,” she said, pulling the belt loose but leaving the robe firmly closed around her body. “Are you sure you’re ready for this?”

“I did mention the death part, right?” he said, laughing. “I’m more than ready, Abby. Show me.”

“Can’t say I didn’t warn you…” and with that, she opened the robe and let it fall to the floor. Martin gaped at the sight in front of him. Never in his life, ever, had he seen anything so unbelievably sexy as what he saw in front of him in that moment. He must have inadvertently made a deal with the devil in order to have that in the room with him. She was absolutely, sinfully provocative.

His eyes raked down her body, pausing at every sexy, delicious curve. She wore a deep emerald corset with wickedly erotic black lace trim. The bodice hugged her ribs tightly and tucked her already tiny waist into a perfect hourglass center. The satin flared back out to accent her hips in a way that made him want to worship at her feet.

Then, as if that weren’t enough, the bottom rim of ribbon and lace held black garters that traced sexy lines down to black thigh-highs. Those alluring sheer hose hugged her legs with a lace border that nearly danced around the soft, creamy skin of her thighs. His eyes traveled back up to rest on her full breasts straining against the satin laced up to a bow between them.

The exaggerated curves were even more accented by a wisp of hair that waved down her neck and nestled in her substantial cleavage. He noticed one last detail around her hips. A scant strip of lace served as panties. She obviously put those on over the garters. He could strip them off and leave her in the corset and thigh-highs if he wanted to.

Oh. Sweet. God. He wanted to.

“Damn…” was the only word he could think to say as he walked the length of the room in about four long strides. His hands gripped around her ribs and he could feel the heat of their skin reacting through the satin and ribbings. He jerked her forward that way, her whole body following the constraints of the corset. She fell into him hard and let her hands rest at his chest.

He was no longer laughing with her playfully. Now he was so sexed-out he was ready to throw her down and take her hard. She looked at him with wide, expecting eyes, wanting the same thing. He hoped she was expecting the animal side of him, because that’s exactly where she took him the minute she dropped her robe.
He grabbed her by the hair as he searched her mouth with his desperate tongue. His other hand gripped at her back, bottom and shoulder with the full strength of his desire. She was the only woman to evoke this kind of passion from deep within, and he couldn’t turn it off. He jerked her hair back again to give himself access to her neck.

Author Bio:
I love a good love story. I reread the first kiss a few times before I read on...even in my own books. That moment gets me every time no matter how often I revisit that beautiful connection. I dive into every story to the point where I have so many fictional boyfriends that I can't keep track of them all.
In the world of reality, I have a loving and tolerant husband who smiles and rolls his eyes every time I tell him about my latest fictional love affair. I have two autistic pre-teen boys who keep me on my toes. I have a psychotic Golden Retriever (I was told those don't exist...) and a cat that rules our house. I used to be the queen. Our regal feline has usurped my throne and demoted me to Prime Minister.
I studied English/Journalism at Miami University in Ohio, have a Master's Degree in Secondary Education from the University of Dayton and I spent five years teaching even more personality-rich pre-teens. For some sick reason, I actually enjoyed teaching junior high. Now as a stay-at-home mom, I'm clinging to that status by throwing my hat in the author's ring and hoping I get to keep it there.

Quintessentially Q by Pepper Winters Book Review

All my life, I battled with the knowledge I was twisted… fucked up to want something so deliciously dark—wrong on so many levels. But then slave fifty-eight entered my world. Hissing, fighting, with a core of iron, she showed me an existence where two wrongs make a right.”

Driven by his vendetta against his father, Q swore a vow he would never touch a slave. Instead, he spent a lifetime battling dark urges, the need to hurt, and threw himself into saving broken birds. Dedicating his home and fortune to fix the wrongs of others.

Until Tess.

After surviving everything life threw at her, Tess emerged from the ashes as a woman with fire and spirit. Her past didn’t break her, no matter how much Q tried, and in a twist of fate, she broke him. Together, they fixed each other.

Tess is his completely. Q is Tess’s irrevocably. But now, they must learn the boundaries of their unconventional relationship, while Tess seeks vengeance on the men who sold her. Q made a blood-oath to deliver their corpses at Tess’s feet, and that’s just what he’ll do.

He may be a monster, but he’s Tess’s monster.

Pepper Winters wears many roles. Some of them include writer, reader, sometimes wife. She loves dark, taboo stories that twist with your head. The more tortured the hero, the better, and she constantly thinks up ways to break and fix her characters. Oh, and sex… her books have sex. She loves to travel and has an amazing, fabulous hubby who puts up with her love affair with her book boyfriends. Her debut book Tears of Tess will be followed with Quintessentially Q. You didn’t think Q could stop so soon, did you? Her other two titles, Last Shadow and Broken Chance will be coming soon.

Mrs. Winters has once again out done herself. This book may possibly be one of the best sequels I've read all year.

**please note if you haven't read book 1 stop reading now this review now. **

This book was a roller coaster of emotions. I knew Tess and Q's life wasn't sunshine/roses but my goodness. I honestly don't know where to even begin with this one. This one starts basically where book 1 ended. Tess comes back to Q and their new life begins. Trust me it was rocky in the beginning and it was a rocky path throughout.

The chemistry between Tess and Q is still steaming hot. Their love for each other is an amazing read and the lengthens they go to to protect one another was on another level. Things take a turn in this one when Tess is kidnapped by our favorite criminals from book 1. She isn't just kidnapped they break her and it's heartbreaking to read what she endured. Q is like a wild animal during this. He is willing to move heaven and earth to find her but will he be to late?

After tess was rescued the story of her recovery was a tough read. She was broken and Q right along with her. She was there physically but her most powerful tool, her mind was left to question. Tess /Q 'a mental/emotional journey and ok physical as well was an amazing read. Mrs. Winters great job. You truly have once again outdone yourself with this one!

Cheers,

Under different stars by Amy Batrol Book Review

All she wants is a home, but can she find one…UNDER DIFFERENT STARS

Kricket Hollowell is normally not one to wish upon stars; she believes they’re rarely in her favor. Well versed at dodging caseworkers from Chicago’s foster care system, the past few years on her own have made Kricket an expert at the art of survival and blending in. With her 18th birthday fast approaching, she dreams of the day when she can stop running and find what her heart needs most: a home.

Trey Allairis hates Earth and doubts that anyone from his world can thrive here. What he’s learning of Kricket and her existence away from her true home only confirms his theory. But, when he and Kricket lie together under the stars of Ethar, counting them all may be easier than letting her go.

Kyon Ensin’s secrets number the stars; he knows more about Kricket’s gifts than anyone and plans to possess her because of them. He also knows she’s more valuable than any fire in the night sky. He’ll move the heavens and align them all in order to make her his own.

When everything in their world can be broken, will Kricket rely upon love to save her under different stars?

Author of Inescapable: The Premonition Series (Volume 1), Intuition: The Premonition Series (Volume 2), Indebted: The Premonition Series (Volume 3) , and Incendiary: The Premonition Series (Volume 4). Currently working on a fifth novel in the Premonition Series entitled Iniquity.

Under Different Stars (Kricket Series Book 1) --a YA Dystopian novel.

I live in Michigan with my husband and our two sons. My family is very supportive of my writing. When I’m writing, they often bring me the take-out menu so that I can call and order them dinner. They listen patiently when I talk about my characters like they’re real. They rarely roll their eyes when I tell them I’ll only be a second while I finish writing a chapter…and then they take off their coats. They ask me how the story is going when I surface after living for hours in a world of my own making. They have learned to accept my “writing uniform” consisting of a slightly unflattering pink fleece jacket, t-shirt, and black yoga pants. And they smile at my nerdy bookishness whenever I try to explain urban fantasy to them. In short, they get me, so they are perfect and I am blessed. Please visit me at my website: www.amyabartol.weebly.com

Where do I even begin with this one. I love mrs. Batrol's books but this one has to be my favorite. This is the story of a young girl named kricket. She is a runaway from the foster care system. After reading the abuse she suffered, heart breaking. Think numerous broken bones and a few stab wounds all before turning 18.  She is a fighter though.

I’m stone…nothing touches me…nothing,”-kricket

To make ends meet she works numerous jobs under the table. She has some great best friends that she can call family but everything changes when she's kidnapped by a group of men to be taken HOME.
Ok so besides the fact that all of the men look like Greek gods (great distraction) but HOME. Yes as in another  planet and you have to go down a worm hole to get there. This trip back home, was a great part of the book. Kricket learned more about herself, her past , and aligned her stars for a potential future.

Ok ok... Trey oh trey. This man is military hotness. Oh and did I mention he cuddles!!!! In the beginning of this one I didn't care for him. But as time moved on I fell hard for him. People if you want a forbidden love, this one is unforgettable. The pull and chemistry between him anf kricket is amazing. However all the factors and people standing in the way of this MEANT to BE love will drive you crazy, At least it did me.

Majority of All the secondary characters I loved. Treys unit, these guys I hope they all have their own books. These guys were funny and oh ya hot. They are krickets support system. Imagine finding out you are the product of powerful parents, think military genius and forseer. Along with these powers come people that want you as a mistress and even some as a wife. But the heart wants what the heart wants. Sadly this can be dangerous and for kricket/trey it is.

Great job mrs. Bartol! I need more ASAP!

Cheers,

He smelled so damn good, clean with a hint of masculine sweat, a temptation I couldn’t resist.  Beyond my control, my tongue darted out of my mouth and covertly tasted the section of chest exposed above his tank.  Oh God, he tasted even better than he smelled, like a chocolate-covered pretzel—sweet, salty, and addictive.

“Did you just…lick me?” he asked, sounding both shocked and amused.

“I have no idea what you’re talking about.”

“You licked me.  I felt it,” he accused, but I noticed he wasn’t complaining.

“Your imagination is running wild because of all the workout endorphins.”

“It wasn’t a complaint.  In fact, you’re welcome to have another taste.”

“Fine…I licked you.  But it was an involuntary reflex—hot guy, exposed chest…you know how it is.”

Mmm,” he replied, his eyes darkening with lust.  “I am familiar with the temptation, but it’s not a hot guy who’s testing my self-control…it’s a petite, auburn-haired vixen.”

This is book 2 by Mrs. Rulon in the for you series and she gives us sam/griffins story. I loved book one only for you EV and hunters story. It made me a total emotional mess. This sequel pieces for you didn't disappoint at all.

** if you haven't read book one stop reading this review now.**

At the end of book one we know sam is attacked. I swear I was screaming NOOOOOOOOO! You know when you fall in love with a character and the unthinkable happens, well heartbreak for what sam endured. But make no doubt about it sam is fighter. This is sams story of putting her life back together and her supporting cast is amazing in helping her do just that.

One cast member in particular will make you wonder do they make a life size image of you, Because no man can be this perfect. Yes I am referring to griffin. Again loved him in book one and was so excited to continue to see his character growth in this one. His gentleness and just all out caring affection toward sam was an amazing read. Sometimes I thought he was doing a little tough love thing but I eventually got over it and loved all things griffin again, lol.

This was a crazy journey for sam/griffin but their love/healing story is a beautiful read. Oh I can't forget to mention we haven't heard the last of EV and hunter (fist pumps) . Thank you mrs. rulon for giving me glimpses of their love story as well. You did a great job meshing everything together.

Cheers,
