Take this regret by AL Jackson Book Review

There are some mistakes we make that we will regret for the rest of our lives. For Christian Davison, it was the day he betrayed Elizabeth Ayers. For five years, Christian has regretted the day he walked away from his family and will do anything to win them back. Can Elizabeth forgive someone who has committed the unforgiveable? Or are there some wounds that go so deep they can never heal?

Amy Lichtenhan first found a love for writing during her days as a young mother and college student. She filled the journals she carried with short stories and poems used as an emotional outlet for the difficulties and joys she found in day-to-day life.

Years later, she shared a short story she’d been working on with her two closest friends, and with their encouragement, this story became her first full length novel, Pulled.

Amy resides in Southern Arizona where she lives with her husband and three beautiful children, where she enjoys the freedom of working from home. Her favorite pastime is spending time with the ones she loves.

I am a huge fan of mrs. Jackson's books. After each one my emotions have always been all over the place. Well this book was no different. This story was one of heartbreak, betrayal, forgiveness, mending hearts and hope. All I can say is WOW! This story broke my heart, made me angry and gave me moments of laughter as well.

In the beginning of this book we are introduced to two law students Christian and Elizabeth.  Their budding relationship comes to stop when Elizabeth finds out she's pregnant. Refusing to have an abortion Elizabeth leaves law and Christian to focus on her child. All I can say at this point was wow and Christian was a major a**.

As the story continued Christian's life was never the same and we see that Elizabeth's  wasn't either. As fate would have it Christian gets a second chance at fatherhood but Elizabeth doesn't make it easy on him.  Christian's fight to get back the family he lost at times was a hard one to read. What's the old saying? hell knows no fury like a woman scorned... Well what about a scorned abused and hopelessly in love woman. Regardless this mama thought of one person first and one person only, her baby girl. Christian relationship with his daughter was a fun and heartwarming one to read.

I loved this book. This love story is one that will stick with you for days after you read it.

Great job mrs. Jackson.

Cheers,
Dr. Books

Review:

Well I know it is no secret what a fan of Jessica's I am! Her writing speaks to my soul! She has only been an official author for a few months now and has taken this community by storm! Her books give us a little of everything without getting boring or overly raunchy.

*** If you have not read book 1 then this review may contain SPOILERS***

Well after the heart stopping cliffhanger from book 1 we pick up a little while after with Emma not handling the news too well! Thankfully Brandon being the shining prince that he is, doesn't give up! He tracks her down and they talk it out. At that point I thought it would be all cupcakes and rainbows...

I seriously did not see the MAJOR BOMBSHELL coming!!! Even as you are reading this, there is NO way to predict what happens! The suspense is killing you now right?

Both Emma and Brandon have secrets in their past that will come back and bite EVERYTHING in the ass!!! I literally had to put my IPAD down in fear that I would not get my happy ending.

BUT...

I am glad I kept reading because the drama was FAR from over!!! FYI I like writting in caps for effect!! LOL!!

This is a dramatic must read where the ending works out how it SHOULD. That does not mean it will end how you want it. Or does it? Looks like you will have to find out! It really was a perfect sequel to A Night To Forget, and those who have read it, Jessica does not disappoint!

About Jessica Wood

Jessica Wood writes new adult contemporary romance. Her debut book, A Night To Forget, was released on June 20, 2013. This is book one of the two-book series called Emma's Story. If you enjoy this book, please like and follow her on her Facebook page: www.facebook.com/jessicawoodauthor

While Jessica has lived in countless cities throughout the U.S., her heart belongs to San Francisco. To her, there's something seductively romantic about the Golden Gate Bridge, the steep rolling hills of the city streets, the cable cars, and the Victorian-style architecture.
She loves a strong, masculine man with a witty personality. While she is headstrong and extremely independent, she can't resist a man who takes control of the relationship, both outside and inside of the bedroom.
She loves to travel internationally, and tries to plan a yearly trip abroad. She also loves to cook and bake, and--to the benefit of her friends--she loves to share. She also enjoys ceramics and being creative with her hands. She has a weakness for good (maybe bad) TV shows; she's up-to-date on over 25 current shows, and no, that wasn't a joke.
And it goes without saying, she loves books--they're like old and dear friends who have always been there to make her laugh and make her cry.
The one thing she wishes she had more of, is time.

 Excerpt
“So I’m about to leave, and the question is, are you going to be leaving with me?” I downed the last of my drink and stood up, as if I didn’t care either way. This was easy to do because I really couldn’t care less whether she came with me or not. She opened her mouth, both shocked and aroused by my forwardness.
“You better shut that pretty little mouth, honey, or I’ll give you something to stick in there,” I grinned. I put out my hand, half expecting her to right hook me in the face. “Coming?” I asked. She took it uncertainly, allowing me to help her up. I suppressed a laugh, not wanting to be rude, but I couldn’t believe that line had actually worked!
“Do I get to know your name?” she asked breathlessly. I smirked at her, not believing for a second she didn’t know who I was. Everyone knew who Jack Falcon was. Pretending not to recognize me was like pretending not to know who the Queen was.
“Does it matter?” I asked, raising my eyebrows.
“I guess not,” she stammered, following me out the door. It always amazed me how easily they followed.

Conspiring by J.B. McGee Review

Synopsis

When Bradley refuses to take Veronica to his cousin's wedding, she finds herself in the company of the charming and attractive Ian. There is no denying that Veronica and Ian have an intense, mutual attraction which draws them together like magnets. But what neither of them realizes is that their attraction isn't the only thing pulling them together. It is a small world, and it’s about to get a whole lot smaller when an innocent fling turns into an intricate plan to conspire.

Review:

O M G!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay so book two starts off so confusing, you wonder if you're reading the right book because you have no idea who these characters are.  Then you see a familiar name... Bradley Banks.

This book focuses on him, what he was or is like before Gabby.  Life is a vicious circle and people will do anything they have to, to get what they want.  Take for example, Veronica.  She's been in Bradley's life for over a year an comes to realize that she is in love with him. No, he doesn't want more and reminds her of that before he goes to his cousin's wedding and meets Gabby.

Okay so that's fine right!  Well Veronica meets up with a new man, telling herself that she is done with Bradley and low and behold  who is this new man?  Our good friend Ian, who broke Gabby to pieces in book one.

Karma is a bitch because Ian gets what he has dished.  Veronica breaks his heart, trying to lie and tell hi that the baby she is carrying is Bradley's but Ian does the math and knows better to which Veronica admits.

Gabby is once again destroyed and in steps Ian to try and make things right.

OMG!  You really want to step into your book and strangle Veronica.  You root for Gabby..

Where will book 3 take us?

I think somewhere in our lives we've "been there done that" in one way or another.  The betrayal of a best friend, our first broken heart.

Gabby and her sister Sam are by all means "orphans." Her mother having left their father when Gabby was 5, and then dying f breast cancer when she was a freshman in high school.  Everything fell apart for her.

Gabby has had a crush on Ian for 4 yrs, now suddenly the summer before their Junior year in high school things take a dramatic change.

Gabby gets her dream or fantasy come true.  She and Ian start to become close friends, getting to know eachother (in more ways than one) and then the ultimate.  Ian wants them to be boyfriend and girlfriend.  Gabby is on top of the world, her Junior year is amazing, nothing better.  During the summer of her Junior year she and Ian attend a party together. Unbeknownst to Gabby her best friend Lindsey is there, but Linds has been distant all summer since her break up with Ian's best friend John.  She suddenly stops talking to Gabby.  Then it's the night of that party, Ian disappears, Gabby goes to find him and well....

Her world is shattered.  She jumps into her Senior year like no other, staying away from everyone.  She and Sam attend their cousin's wedding where Gabby first lays eyes on Bradley.  Bad, rich boy extraordinary.  She knows he's bad news, one thing leads to another, she does what no other female has done. She rejects him.

Months later he finds her, learns just how broken she is, but knows he can't live without her.

Will Gabby feel the same?

You can feel Gabby's pain, you cry her tears with her and yes at times you want to bitch slap her.  A marvelous read and the first book the a series of 4.

Steph

Review:

Destination Wedding is such a fun read that is NOT extremely long! This is a classic read of mistaken identity. Kate, who is a nervous wreck, meets two brothers on her flight to Hawaii for a wedding she is working on. Kate of course doesn't realize thereis two of them, so when she meets the groom, Drew, for the wedding and she cannot believe it is the same man she was lip locked with on the flight!!! Or so she thought!

We get to meet some great characters that are fun to watch develop. Drew and his twin Luke both met her on the flight but when Drew couldn't handle the spaz next to him he asks his brother Luke to switch. Well Luke has to pretend to be Drew and this begins the whole mess of the story. Luke plans to tell Kate the truth but things keep getting in his way. Drew gets cold feet which throws a whole other screw into the mix! Luke and Kate have their own demons that the must confront/overcome before things could ever work out, but is 48hrs enough?

Great Read!!
